better now...hatch opens... just a little work and a new metal coupla... now Fritz can see the field of battle http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/6898/p1010011it.jpg No need for the T34/85 to have opening hatches as Ivan went to war all buttoned up…only opened when abandoned or burning. Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

S2 is going to be Midway, Yorktown. I thought for sure they'd do Enterprise. The S2 is the plane flown by Navy Cross holder Lt. Harold Bottomley... The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Lieutenant Harold Sydney Bottomley, Jr., United States Nav...

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

I called Sally at Aikens and pre-ordered...also saw on the Flying mule BOTH 1st and 2nd releases are up for preorder also just posted on Merit's site, the working features...

Re: Merit 1/16 Tanks

Jim thank you for taking the time to ask for feedback…it has been a long time since we have seen sincere interest from a manufacturer as to what the Small Scale Military members think. I purchased both the T34/85 and the Tiger and feel they are both great bargains for the money. For the Tiger I, com...

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

Why Midway over Coral Sea?...Well, I did shift gears and pre-ordered this first livery... but if I had to only choose one, it would be Midway… for me, personally, one the reasons I collect is the history of the plane and secondly how much space I have left to display and store these big birds. I loo...

Matthew, I have a 1/16 Schwimmwagen kit made by Edward...(looks great with my FOV 1/16 Tigers)...would love to see one in 1/18...I still have the instructions that are quite detailed and can scan/send them if you want.

Re: New Merit 1/18 DAUNTLESS DISCUSSION

Quite right Corey and well said... Guess I should rephrase...I hope Merit releases a Dauntless in the livery of Richard H. Best or Wade McClusky at Midway ... If it was a Dauntless from VB6 off the deck of the Enterprise it had twin 30 cal. If it only has one I can always make the twins no big deal....

Merit 1:16 Tiger I, Kurland, Eastern Front,

just saw this on the Merit site...
http://www.merit-intl.com/vendor/merit.html
looks good, however Zimmerit was applied to late model Tiger 1’s fighting at Kurland!
Lets hope (though most likely too late at this point) Merit adds Zimmerit before production.
