Re: 1/18 Scale Horten Ho-229 Build. Pics 4-19

Matthew,
Dumb question...say I would like to pick up the 229 kit in the future. How long do you plan to produce these?

Beautiful work my man!

Re: Anybody getting FOV's 2011 1/16 Tiger 1?

Absolutely not. Pretty model, but I also have a 1/16 HL R/C Tiger, repainted with aftermarket parts at a fraction of this cost, that looks wonderful (tooting my own horn).

$250 price tag to $600???....exactly....WTF?????

Just picked up a ParkZone Ultra-Micro Mosquito mk VI today at my local hobby shop. This little beauty is AWESOME!!!

4-ch, counter-rotating props, very-scale looking. ParkZone has another winner with the Mossie.

Re: BBI F-16 price increase

$179.00 for a mold that's been around for how long? Now they're just pumping plastic. I want an F-16 after seeing them at OSAN AFB, believe me (I don't currently have one). But it's a tough pill to swallow. I was excited even at $150 with free shipping. Now we're approaching $200. And yes, I did pay...

Re: The Best 1:18 Items Ever Made

I know Tman will disagree with me on this one  Plane: 21C Me-262A. Absolutely incredible all around (if you got one that had no QA flaws like mine). The gear, pilot, cockpit, opening gun bays, slats, movable control surfaces and color scheme, the pinnacle of 21C's aircraft design. Again, like ...

Re: What was the worst item ever made?

My 21C P-40 has almost flown itself into the wall because of the horrible tail wheel design.

+1 regarding the SpotCat debacle.

Well, considering my favorite nose art has already been done (Catmouth Hellcat).

Probably, the Aleutian P-40E "Tiger". That is one great scheme!

The whole story reported on Bad Cat's blog, which is coming out of Merit, is a bunch of B.S.

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

I disagree.

I'm a 1/18 aircraft guy, but have a few smatterings of armor. I'm pretty god-darned sure All-Go is watching this whole thing go down and it's pretty obvious from watching this thread and the auction, that the interest is there.

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

But not the only example in a scale that's incredibly close. The A-10 doesn't have an "equal" (using an 1/18 piece as an example and the auction that was on Ebay several months ago).

I still think it's ludicrous

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

Okay. The 1/18 A-10 prototype at $1580 I can see. A 1/18 King Tiger, like I said before, with three other examples (R/C) at 1/16th out there...bought for this amount of money???? I can buy two Tamiya KT's with full running gear and options for this price. Bought so that they can say they have the on...

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

I have to agree with TTT, this is crazy money and for what?, I know its a neat piece, but I would have to wonder about someone who spent that kind of money on it  Precisely, this is not a 1/18 aircraft piece that has no counterpart in the model world. It's a 1/18th Armor Subject that has thre...

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

If All-Go does make the KT this year....Then cue the "Price is Right" losing music for the winner of this auction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A Then again, this auction is ridiculous in my opinion given that there are already a couple of examples in 1/16 (R/C no less) WAY BELOW this bid.

Re: King Tiger on EBAY??

$630.99 at the present moment...REALLY????

I'd take a R/C Tamiya KT any friggin' day of the week at this price and have a helluva lot more fun building it, painting it, destroying the yard and terrorizing the neighbor's cat with it.
