Re: PTE Recons
Hi Parrish333; Is there any way to order the world peacekeeper toys?? I hit the link you posted for the Base Transportation Unit and nothing happens to order or even pre-order it. Re: PTE Recons
Somebody over on the joecustoms site posted some info on some new PTE items: http://www.joecustoms.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=29400 The J-10 looks great, and I'm interested in the bunker/base looking items as well. Of course, sadly, the chances of any of this being available in the western hemi...

F4F Wildcat...bang on 1/18. http://www.bananahobby.com/2168.html too bad it's not F-15, Butch O'hares famous plane...probably simple to change it though. Awesome! The Spitfire (in the pic at the bottom) that they carry is also pretty close to 1:18. If an airframe-only option could be found, that wo...

Re: RC Plane Talk
check out the Skyraider in this thread. Exact dimensions yet to be confirmed but it should be almost exactly 1/18. Looks pretty sharp. Retail price i've seen on the airframe only is just $60 (to be confirmed). http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1435029 Awesome! I've been lamenting not ...

Re: GI Joes for pilots in JSI Tomcat?
Also, I'm currently using two v.3 Slipstreams for my F-14; I think it is is GI Joe's most realistic looking pilot, though this fig is a bit hard to find. I think there's a bit of a passing resemblance to Maverick from Top Gun so I like him piloting my F-14 :) http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/slipstre...

Re: GI Joes for pilots in JSI Tomcat?
What is "SRO" Ace? I haven't seen that one and I like the flight helmet you have. I've got two of the Valor Vs Venom Ace version that have a different flight helmet and suit coming, one is to be repainted as is, the other is going to be used for parts and combined with a 25th Wild Bill to make 2 di...

Re: review---"Black Knights" F-14
Yeah, I've gotta say my Black Knights Tomcat came to me in very good condition. The right rear stab didn't fully seat, but a little shaving down mostly took care of that. It is definitely all static model and not a toy - so it has some fragile parts that you have to take care not to break (I've alre...

I'd be interested to see pics/find out more about these. So are they different figures from the Fearless Forces, but just produced in the same style? Or are they the same Fearless Forces figs, but just with different packaging?

Re: my 1:1 scale collection.....
I just got back from a trip to Ohio where I got to visit my nearly favorite place on earth - the National Air Force Museum in Dayton. It's gotta be the largest aircraft museum in the world. They've got a B-36 and SR-71 as well - really impressive birds. And a B-2, B-1, B-52, U2, F-4, F-15, F-16, Mig...

Re: New to forums, would like info on these custom 1/18 tomc
Damn, I just found an older thread with prototype pics of the never-made 1/18 F-4 Phantom... I can just imagine that thing painted up like Showtime 100 or some other awesome 'nam era Phantom livery. What a shame it will never see the light of day... Are there any other options for jet-age US Navy b...

Does anyone know how the bomb and missle kits work? Are they completed but just need painted, or parts that need glued together first? I'd love some more ordnance!

There actually are separate wire cutters too parrish. But there is a flexible black bipod too, but the wirecutters are grey with black handles, hard plastic (they'd snap if you flexed them too much as they're made of styrene). Wow - I've got a lot of PTE stuff and I don't remember those. Do you kno...

I pre ordered one, anyone else have one coming in? Yep - I ordered from aikens (http://www.aikensairplanes.com/) who has it for $289.95 + free shipping!!! I can't wait for this bird! If it had the full air-to-air loadout like the version 1 in addition to the air-to-ground ordnance, and of course if...

Re: In praise of Power Team
Aferg and Tman - I don't think they're intended to be wire cutters, though that's exactly what I used them for until - PLUNK, it snapped right into place on the bottom of a PTE M249. They are bipods  But regardless, I wholeheartedly agree that all the little accessories you mentioned are killer...

Re: Calico critters houses and furnishings
Yep - I've been eyeing some of these in TRU for awhile. They have a nice display of one set up, and it looks very very close to 1:18 in all aspects. Like you said, a little pricey, but there aren't many other options for finished 1:18 buildings (e.g. the Pola buildings are less finished and more exp...

I picked up a couple of the Cell figures for customs... Mr. Fritzkrieg - I love the new paint job you gave them! And I think I recognize the new heads, but what are the new helments you gave them? I think they look FANTASTIC! Subtle little changes like that are often what make a figure go from good...

Re: What scale do you guys think the helicopter is?
I've actually seen these in person at my local mall being demonstrated flying. I did not have anything to positively identify the scale at the time, but I was able to get a pretty good estimate just by looking considering I own the BBI 1/18 MH-6 which I'm very familiar with. It appears to be ~1/20. ...

Re: bbi British SAS 1/18 Soldiers
I only remember BBI producing one British soldier - a WWII paratrooper. I'd be very interested to see pics of these!
Though I do vaguely remember some of the BBI US modern marine figures just being repackaged as British (with no gear change or anything). Perhaps that's what these are?

Numbers, numbers, numbers
It's almost always about the numbers being built...unless somebody is truly doing each one from scratch (akin to hand-carving from a solid block of wood). That's why WM planes were $40 and Skyworks or Pickel creations are in the hundreds. Pickel has entertained doing larger runs on certain items to ...
