Re: FOV M3 Lee "Kentucky"?

13 regiment, yes, this seems reliable: "On 15 July 1940, the 13th Cavalry was redesignated the 13th Armored Regiment and became part of the new 1st Armored Division. On 8 November 1942, 13th Armored, as part of Combat Command B, landed in Oran, Algeria, to participate in the allied counteroffensive ...

Re: FOV M3 Lee "Kentucky"?

I believe it is from the 12 armored regiment, 1st US armored division.
I would guess and say it is from the 2nd battalion, but other than that, I am not sure.

Anyone ever deal with the 1/24 sherman?

Franklin Mint has the 1/24 sherman out. Well, they have been out for a while.
I think they look nice, but maybe someone has some insight.

Are there any 1/24 figures or accessories?

I am really interested in seeing this t34/76.
This was a consideration of mine as well, but didn't think it was possible.
All you have to do is replace the turret, right?

Anyone looking for a few FOV?

I decided to start the terrible process of 'making room' on the shelves, so I have a few 1/32 pieces to sell. I thought I would ask around the forum first. 1. Tiger 1 eastern front--winter whitewash 2. Tiger 2 wester front--80201 Both are loose but in good condition w/ the commander figure. Also thi...

Re: FOV 2011 Releases

Yeah, at least we still have FOV.
Sometimes, I am just surprised at their releases, especially in the past year; that is all.
Anyway, the only other 1/32 release that I have heard of is another repaint (s4) of the 251 halftrack.

Re: FOV 2011 Releases

Well, yes, FOV is the only 1/32 company with a fairly strong standing.
And yes, they are the only one producing 1/32 armor.
However, I am disappointed with their choices and repaints.
At least we get something though.

I see you handled the 'quote' function properly. :D

Re: FOV 2011 Releases

[quote] Since I am a 1/32 guy, my fellow 1/32 collectors and I can expect at least a 1-1/2 ton truck and a German 4x4 ambulance (The wording above implies there will be more offerings, but probably just more repaints). I'm not too excited about these two vehicles too much though as I have a feeling ...

How to for modern armor

Maybe some of you guys have done it before, but how do you make ID panels for modern armor?
Looking to add some for 1/32 armor; i think it has been done in 1/18
thanks

Really great information, and yes, you answered the question just fine!
I was thinking of swapping the barrels for a custom or something; just wanted to be somewhat historically correct.

thanks!
