They are nice!!!

But, they far outclass my "toy collection"

I think items like this will make me strive to do some custom work on my own - for the cost would depleat my "fun money" very quickly.

What other market has seen an equally low level of price increases over the past 8 years? When you look at the development, the increase in detail, and the logistics of creating new AC, the cost (to consumers) has been pretty much a flat line for 21st (and others). Everyone has a personal value on a...

I have a pin, decal, and a 1/6 OD Green hat. That was a long time ago. The mail order is where I got the S1 ME109. Recently, they don't even answer emails.

Tales of the Cat has a topic about upcoming offerings. Rob said there that there is talk of repaints and new toolings. But, he was not able to discuss specifics yet. He did reference limited special editions to specific retailers. There were also pictures of Wildcats and Hurricanes in the post. It w...

357th mustangs - Should there be more or do we have enough?

I realy like the red and yellow checker nose on the 357th P-51s. I have both Old Crows and the Hurry Home Honey, but unfortunately I do not have the Tender Terror. I don't think there are any others that have been produced. Are there any others out there? Do you all think we have enough of the 357th...

the best thing to do is to check completed listings on the well known auction sites. The P-51 from the first series is so inferior to the second generation P-51s that it is most likely the lowest value, but I would think that all of the other three are easily worth more than you paid for them.

I posed the question on the board shortly after signing on, only to find out that I didn't read the BST instructions. I don't think there were any responses from current owners. 3 1/2 months from now I will be checking again. I would very much like to find one that the current owner is willing to pa...

Corey, I didn't realize you were still looking for one. I saw one last night at the Bel Air, Maryland TRU. If I would have known I would have picked it up for you. Anyway, I don't know your location, maybe it would be worth your drive today. I went there looking for 1/18 stuff, but they were all out...

Many sellers use common names (even if they don't apply to the product) to have better chances at having their auction viewed by people searching that specific name only. Even though they listed it in the manufacturers area also, I would think that it is just an attention getter. I would hope that a...

If I have been following the development of this story correctly; here is my understanding. By calling the big chain stores and letting them know that there is demand for the product, the word will work it's way to the manufacturers. When the manufactors hear from the large retailers that there is d...

Merrill's Marauders set on the Bay *IT IS NOW SOLD*

First off - this is not my auction, but I wanted to pass on this information to those of you that may be interested in this set. The auction number is 130199034403. It is overseas and shipping is high, but I thought it was still a good deal with all things considered. Two trucks, soldiers, weapons.....

Area 21 Reports the return of the Flying Tigers P-40. A repaint in a new box. Due to demand by consumer/TRU, they say this is the quickest way to satisfy the consumer/retailer. I guess that will be alright by me, because I only have the RAF P-40. Plus with an increase in numbers it may be a canidate...

WWII WEEKEND JUNE 6-8, 2008 READING, PA MID ATL. AIR MUSEUM

I was searching for information on warbirds and came across this site. It is the information page for Mid-Atlantic Air Museum's World War II Weekend. I guilty of not reading the rules. Sorry, I should have. I just figured as on other boards the new guys assume all the risk by paying first (for a buy) or shipping first (for a trade). I didn't mean to buck the system. Now I know why my wife tries to get me to read the directions first.

WTB 1/18 JOSEF PRILLER FW190-D9 - TENDER TERROR

I am looking to find the 1/18 FW190-D9 in the Josef Priller scheme. I know this may be a long shot, but you don't know until you ask.

The longer shot would be to find someone willing to sell their tender Terror, which if someone does - let me know.
