I used to be big into armor and aircraft modeling but I developed a problem with my hands shaking and I just can't do the fine work anymore. So XD is the next best thing for me!

Plus XD helped me to stop buying $100-$200 Transformers so thats another plus lol.

I was dissapointed to see so many M2 .50 machineguns included with my BBI paratroopers and army figures. Airborne used the M1919 .30 machinegun.

Nothing in Ocala FL area Walmarts but one Luftwaffe Starfighter, some Japanese and MG carded figures and various 1/32 armor and aircraft. The last vehicle I've seen is the Hanomag I bought two weeks ago.

The XD future looks very bleak for my area.

As I said in another thread, I very much doubt the Pak-40 will show up in any of my local Walmarts. Is this a WM exclusive or will it be available on Bad Cats/eBay?

Lately my local Walmarts haven't had much of anything 1:18. Today I saw a clearence Avenger but it was all banged up and missing parts. I did get a Sdkfz 251/1, the only vehicle there. Lean times.

I just got my first BBI figs, the US paras but haven't opened any of them up yet. My question is, do the BBI figs come with stands? Is there one behind the chutes or something that I'm missing? And if they don't, can you buy some somewhere cause I would think posing would be difficult. My D-Day infa...

Thanks for the great tips guys! Last plane I tried to hang was a 1:48 scale Monogram B-29 and it didn't turn out so well for the Superfort or for my head, lol. As for the Spitfire landing gear problem, I didn't want to make another topic just for that but I guess I should. I don't like cluttering up...

Hang 'em high - but how?

I got my second 1:18 aircraft, the Seeman 109 today and I have no room to display it or my Spitfire. I'd like to hang them from the ceiling but memories of midnight crashes of model planes when I was a kid are keeping me from it. I've seen that some of you hang your planes so if anyone can give me s...

Went to the Dunnellon, FL WM today. About (no joke) 50 Motorworks 1/32 Whirblewinds and flakpanzers. There were two 1/18 Seemann 109-Gs for $39 so I grabbed one of those. No 1/18 vehicles or tanks anywhere in my area.

They look great. I'm glad to see the 82nd represented though I'd rather see their slot filled with something else besides more paratroopers.

Edit: I missed the release period on the area 21 page. Doh!

Just got back from hitting three Wallys here in Ocala Fl. Almost a total washout until I saw the US driver with Makinaw for a buck. The Sherman I wanted was gone though. So I usually hit 2-3 but there are 5 in total within 20 miles from me.

Thanks all for the ideas. I opened up a few more figures and tried one of the unjointed arms krieglok mentioned. The fit is much better, of course the donor is out of luck if he can't hold his weapon either lol.
