Re: King Tiger in 1/18 scale
Personally, I am not too hyped up for either the Konig or Jagdtiger, but it is great that you are planning on making them. Does this mean that some time you could make an elefant?

Re: Guess what I found
Time to hide the wife! Yeah, it would have been nice if there had actually been something nice in there, but my wife was able to make a lamp that was also in the box look really good (at least that's what shes telling me to make the box discovery seem like not just a waste of a find) Imagine what yo...

Re: Guess what I found
Here is the final blow: I got up today, and the pile on my computer table is gone, and I don't see any of the pieces in the garbage can, so I have no idea what happened to them (but as long as their out of my hand, I'm happy!)

Re: Custom Tiger I
Love the Tiger, but my loving wife has prohibited me from spending anymore money this year on 1:18, but I would love to know how you managed to create the sagging tracks near the front?

Re: Guess what I found
I gues I wasn't clear. This is a mess of a junkyard! These were at the bottom of the box scattered beneath old furniture. The heads are all re-painted or scratched up horribly, the airplane parts look like something from a nuclear explosion (there actually are some burnmarks on the pieces). I did re...

Guess what I found
I was clearing out the shed, when I found a great big box in the back covered in dust. My wife says she has never seen it before, so I opened it up and guess what I found: a junkyard of 1:18 bits. There were heads from figures, broken airplane wings, canopys, landing gear, and ripped boxes, but abso...

What is the compatibility of 1/32 and 1/35
The title really says it all. I am going to buy some 1/35 Tamiya and Dragon kits, and was wondering how well they will go with my 21st 1/32 tanks. Will they look too big, or will it be like the difference b/w 1:18 and 1:16?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: The Best 1:18 Items Ever Made
Thanks Tman for creating this forum- I was going to make one as a follow up to my other one, but you saved me the trouble. I am a German person (both literally and figuratively), so my choices were somewhat easy: Plane- Never owned any in 1:18 Tank- Panther "Red 332". In my experience, this tank has...

I just came back from my hobbystore, and they have the same amount of the S1 Marines BAR man and Flamethrower guy they have had for the past two years. Did people have something against these figures?

Re: New to 1/32
Thanks for the advice Kevin! I own some tamiya 1/35 figures, as well as a 1/35 sd.kfz 251/1, so I am used to the smaller-scale modelling. I do have a number of 1/18 items I would be willing to trade, like halftracks and some tanks, but I have to wait 5 months until I am able to deal on the trade/buy...

New to 1/32
Since 1/18 has been dead in the water for about two years, I am now switching to 1/32 figures and amour. As of right now, my only 1/32 piece is the 21st M4 Sherman w/ dozer blade, so I am used to the size difference between 1/18 and 1/32, but am totally naive to the market and manufacturers. From wh...

Re: do you ever worry about your hobby?
Yeah, I worry. My dad was really into model trains, so I grew up around knowing that, but when I moved out I developed my own interests. As I got into military history, I checked out my local hobby store for the first time in 2008 to see what plastic models they had. As I walked into the store, I sa...

Re: Worth waiting?
Thanks for your advice guys, I just went and found a Sf.kfz 251 for 29.99 on eBay. With shipping, its the same price as it was on my hobby stores shelves years ago. I have a feeling that the first half of this year will be the last oppurtunity to buy 1:18 vehicles for under $90.

Worth waiting?
I just checked JSI, and found this: http://www.js-int.net/vehicle_60016.html I just recently got interested in getting the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 with the forward MG, but seeing the prices on eBay puts that out of my head. So I guess my question is, is it worth waiting (x) amount of time for JSI to hopefully...

Re: 2010 Hi Lites? Low Points? Let's hear 'em.
I never realized that all of the companies would dissapoint these recent years, so during their peaks I rarely bought anything. But when I didn't see anything major coming out in 2009, I got worried, and started to save up my money to jump when they came out again. They didn't, so I went on eBay and...

Re: Favorite Scales/Collections...
1/18 is my main focus, because it is big enough to bring out the detail in an MG42, but not to huge to be crushed under a Tiger. I prefer 21st, but since they went under I have taken a look at BBI, JSI, and FOV I started off just picking up whatever I thought looked cool at my hobbystore, then I foc...
