A new diorama from granch: A small oriental river harbour

Hello Guys, it's a long time since I showed here something. Slowly getting tired from the my 1/18th military collection, meanwhile I falled in love with the junk and sampan boats and started to make models after looking on many, many pictures (thanks to google and pinterest). My models should be abl...

Re: Elite Force Humvee--$11.88, M113--$10.27

I think BBI just re-used the molds of the original Humvee with some add-ons, so it's more 1/18th accurate. The M-113 looks more like it would be 1/32th scale, but to make it better, there is a lot of work...

It is the same model than the Powerteam Elite (attack?) helicopter that can still be bought on ebay. A guy from this board made an nice looking Coast Guard version.

Re: 1/18 Home Made Patrol Boat

OK, I could solve the problems of my old remote control device (it is 40 y. old...) and launch the boat in the water. I'm proud to could finish this project, my own plans, a lot of recycled material, all wood construction... the engine is from a car vacuum cleaner and the 4 1,5V batteries are a litt...

Re: Looking for BBI 1/18 F16/18 Jet Pilot

When you got it, the first challenge is to remove and cut the canopy, second after removing the ejection seat, to cut and file the rear and bottom of it, third to find a very narrow U shaped brass rail to be able to open and close the canopy. Removing the legs is not a problem, better done with a gl...

Re: Feedback needed on custom 1/18 staff cars

Hello, I'm not in wwII stuff, but agree, there is a big lack in logistic vehicles. There is a cargo humvee from PTW, that could easily be customized with different loads. Pickelhaube had the project of an ambulance humvee, I also thought about a mobile field close air trafic control tower, a radio, ...

Very good work.
For tire streaks, may I suggest that it could be simple to use fat chalk sticks or broad soft charcoal pencils.

I love the Rafale and Grippen. Very sorry that no one of them won the swiss market as a follower for our slowly aging F/A-18. Now, Supersonicfifi, though the very interesting design of the Rafale, I'm really not sure I would have anough money to get one (had also to give up for the Pickelhaube's HIN...

Well, still waiting for ideas... But thank you Grockwood, the technician girl is perfect for many scenaries, I'll buy "it". Mutt71, 1/18 is very small in comparison with 1/6 if you want to work on limbs and joints. I could repair many BBI wrists and elbows with watchmaker screws and could preserve t...

Looking for 1:18 oriental figures

Hi Guys, I'm making an 1/18th sampan sailing boat, about 20 inches long, that should navigate and I'd of course like to have some (civilian!) passengers and crew on board. I found from GI-Joe brand an oriental head and replaced the one of Mutt from Indiana Jone's. That's all I have now. If somebody ...
