Re: Pickelhaube's Consignment Corner
I have been busy A consigner sent me 3 x 251's painted in the Normandy paint scheme and wanted the 13 painted out and I took it a step further I created a commander's vehicle and wanted to make a patrol of vehicles. These were the same 21st scheme so I added to the paint to make all 3 look different...

Re: Pickelhaube's Consignment Corner
Matthew are the added details just for this consignment or will they be offered for existing kits? I made the slat floor for this consignment. If or when I remake the molds I will probably make it to go with the kit. I guess I could make the fender wire as well . The break handle flip would have to...

Re: Pickelhaube's Consignment Corner
Thanks for spotting those details Normandy.
I also swapped out the cables for thinner ones.
I also made a wooden ( plastic ) floor platform.
I also made wire front fender braces.
I have about 40 hours into this little rascal.

Re: Ersatz M-10 Panther or A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing
The way things look it will be about 3 weeks before I will be able to make the molds.
Work was slow for a bit so I was able to make the protos , now it picked back and I am work 6 days a week.
I am taking Sundays off to get a breather.

Re: 1/18 Scale M-4A3E8 Back On Track
I thought that I was getting close to finishing this prototype but the rubber that I used to make the tracks is a bit soft. I could lay steel pins in the track but that will be a lot of work. I have an idea that I'm trying next and I am waiting for those parts to come in from China. I have the fende...

Re: 1/18th Scale P-47N & P-51D Repaint
I noticed on the orange painted rudder tip you had a paint ridge. I could not notice if you addressed this later in your build. Depending on your paint that you used ( I have switched to acrylics ) You need to take off the masking ASAP this alone may smooth out the ridge. Feel the tape if it is dry ...

Re: 1/18 Scale M-4A3E8 The Easy 8 Info Needed On Tracks
I was thinking of doing another American build after the Sturmtiger and was talking to a forum member and he suggested the Easy * project. I thought yes you are right. I solved the track issue by using the same rubber resin that I used on my King Tiger project. The only issue now is the channel stif...

M-36 Jackson Vs M-7 Priest
Hey Guys, I am taking a break from full builds and am making protos of the things that I said I would build. I think I can do one more proto that I can build before the consigners start getting P O'd The Priest with the 105 and the M-36 Jackson. M-7 Priest I have the proto for the 105 80% done for y...

1/18 Scale Sturmtiger 2023
He Guys, I started my rendition of the Sturmtiger right after I finished the M-10 Ersatz proto. I have worked on it for 3 days now. I made the vented callor and have started on the gun tube. I wasn't sure how to even start the tube so I settled on using one of my script bottles and started working k...

Are Mods The Thing of the Past ?
Hey all you collecting Guys, Historically except about 20 years ago I always sell more of my mods on ebay. I use this forum as a launching site when I make a new creation. I consider it home. I actually have not made one in about 5 years or so. During that period almost all XD has increased in price...

Ersatz M-10 Panther or A Wolf in Sheeps Clothing
Hey Guys, I just finished the Ersatz M-10 . These were used in the Battle of the Bulge to try and infiltrate the American lines. 10 were made and they did NOT fool anybody. The Germans also used Sturmshultzs painted in OD green , they did not fool anybody as well ! https://photos.smugmug.com/Consign...
