Think it is sad to see, as they really did a lot for 1/18.
But Bad Cat Rob really got a lot of people angry, and am sure that also probably affected his business a bit.
End of an era, at least in 1/18.

Re: How to dismantle the F18 Hornet
Should be pretty simple. Even the fuselage seperates into two parts. How do you separate the fuselage? This would help in the upgrade process It seperates about halfway down the fuselage. You should be able to see a join line. You end up with a front half, and a back half. Had them shipped to me li...

Makes sense, as long as the satellite is small.
F-15 was used as a satellite destroyer { ASAT} in the past.

Re: Gaincorp F15C vs HM F15C
Thanks snake. Indeed the HM F15 looks good. If they come out with the Israel F15 camo version I would get it. Just checked the Flying mule and HM does make the F15 IDF so I will probably get this one. The camo looks awesome. It does look good, but personally I don't like the weapons load. An import...

Re: Gaincorp F15C vs HM F15C
The Gaincorp F-15 isn't bad, but an old mold. Don't have a HM Eagle yet, as waiting for the right scheme in both the Strike Eagle, and F-15C, mostly due to the $100 price tag, plus shipping. Happy enough with my Dragon's,at least for the C version, for now. Know the HM version will be significantly ...

Know it is easy for me to say, as not my money. But go for the Corgi, PanzerArm. You are looking for a 1/32 scale example of one of the most iconic fighters of all time, and the Corgi is so much better than the others. Has a lot of metal content, and comes with a good display stand as well. It will ...

Re: Best 1/32 D model p-51?? Need some opinions.
If you don't want to build a kit, or get a Corgi 1/32 or GMP 1/35, then that only leaves 21 Century. Not bad, but certainly not Corgi quality. Didn't FoV make a D model P-51? I have none of the 1/32 aircraft that FoV produced so i don't really know how they compare in terms of quality. And didn't 2...

Re: My Conversation with A Merit Rep Regarding 1/18th Scale
Great info Matthew, and somewhat encouraging. Been a long time since we had any news from Merit, and sounds like they are still in the 1/18 game. At least for now, but they do need to release something. $240 for the Harrier does sound a bit steep, but not unreasonable, as long as the quality is ther...

Re: USAF smear campaign against A-10
Does make you wonder about the USAF's agenda when it comes to the A-10? Trying to free up funds for the F-35, at the cost of other programs. Wouldn't surprise me, but would be a mistake. BTW, A-10's have just been sent to Germany, in response to further Ukraine fighting. Lots of life left in the ven...

Would probably pass on the Corgi Phantom, as much better on the market, but hey, if the price was right.
The Do 335 by IXO is another one of those more obscure aircraft done by them, and a decent rendition. Have it myself, and quite happy with it.

Re: Is Bad Cat about to give up the ghost...?
Concur that Corey said it well. Think they were too focused on 1/18, and didn't diversify enough to survive if something happened to that scale. I do appreciate what they have done, particularly with the BBI F-16's and F-18's, but they also did get some negative press, so even 1/18 collectors would ...

Some very nice 1/18 there, Studly.
And some pretty desirable and rare stuff as well.
Guess with shipping to Aus, might as well go for the rarer ones.

Does look pretty good, with nice detail.
Considered picking up an 88, but just doesn't really fit in with my collection.
Always thought they were good models though.

Re: who's into 'cutaway' models?
?? does that mean you can make it so that you can't see the interior? ie like a regular model? Are there 2 sets of panels then, one set clear and the other painted as the exterior? Well, the idea of having a "panel off" display model is to see the interior. To hide it. goes against what the model i...
