Re: Several year retrospective (opinions happily sought)

I suppose I should answer my own questions: Planes that grew on me: the Admiral White 7 Me 262 grew on me a lot more than I had expected. While the nightfighter had such a glorious paint scheme, I had some qc/fragility issues with it. The grey scheme has grown on me. Tman, you've answered some of my...

Several year retrospective (opinions happily sought)

As I rotate planes on display on my shelves, I find myself occasionally pleasantly surprised. Some purchases made several years ago seem less impressive now, others I find I like even more so as my appreciation for them has grown. Since the holidays always bring out the optimist in me: what planes (...

Questions:

Any word on the armament kit or second release?

Anyone remember what the time frame between the spotcat release and the black knight release on the F-14 was?

It looks good. Haven't decided if I will pull the trigger or see if there is a second release.

Well, the Merit website updated with the same pics that popped up on facebook awhile ago.

I'd love to see more like the one Bee posted.

Patience, I suppose.

Then the reason to go from a prototype with one to a product without is exceedingly silly.

Re: Any Scoop on the new 1/18th Scale Harrier...?

The lack of a gun pod is disappointing, especially when a previous prototype had it. Meh, we'll see what the final prototype looks like. But at the price point I'd prefer not to have to go after modifications. rdit: Then again, I half wonder if the person you spoke with knows the difference. THat co...

Re: Any Scoop on the new 1/18th Scale Harrier...?

Hey Bee- quick question- was there confirmation at the most recent show on the lack of gunpods? There were pictures up from a Asian toy festival about a year ago that looked like they might have been added or in the works. Just curious if this was news since then, as I also hadn't heard about the Au...

Likely the last news we'll have on it till SDCC, but theoretically we'll get to see it all armed up then.

Theoretically at least.

Meh, if they don't get someone with mod powers in there fairly soon, what little discussion that has been started will be buried under the tide of spambots.

Thanks for the info gents. Yeah, I picked up the newer hornet release to go with my old wolfpack viper and noted it felt a little different in a positive way. From what I've heard about the blackhawk re-release it makes me vaguly hopeful that one day we might get an apache re-release. Probably just ...

JSI/Merit plastic quality query.

I was switching around displays today and had the gear door on one of my 21st century ME-262's snap. Not too terribly difficult to fix, but it did raise the question: Aside from the infamous gear door on the F-14, how have the JSI/Merit releases been as far as plastic quality? 21st always felt more ...

For those that have these in hand:

How do they "feel" scale wise? Closer to Star Wars/G.I. Joe or more at home as 1/18 scale?

I've been very impressed by the figures, just trying to figure out which direction the vehicles seem more inclined.

Re: 1/18 Harrier?

My only quibble with the images from SDCC were the lack of gun pods.

The strakes are cool and all, but I think I'd rather have the GAU and ammo configuration.
