Re: Dragon Armor Jadgpanther 60007 Question
My sources indicate that directives were issued in February, 1945 to use a dark olive green as the base coat on all new armored vehicles. I don't know whether this particular vehicle existed or not, however.

Re: What Would You Like To See Produced in 2011...
A German prime mover for the 88. The 8-ton comes to mind but there are others such as the 18-ton that would be nice.

WTB: 1:18 21st Century Me-262 Tail Rudder
I got a good deal on a Scratch and Dent 21st Century 1:18 Yellow 7 Me-262, but without the tail rudder. Anyone got an extra rudder for sale?

Re: german king tiger ambush camo pics help
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't know a soft-edge camo scheme if I saw one, but there are several pictures of most German vehicles including King Tigers as this link. Something should "click" for you.

I picked up one figure each of the four per set non-special Can-Do Approach to Stalingrad and Panzer Grenadier guys. Also saw two Dragon Warbirds F6F Hellcat "00" 1:72 models and two Dragon 1:72 armor German Maus with the fake turret at my local Tuesday Mornings.

These were first seen at Target and later, I think, at Wal-mart.

Re: Tiger 1 #332 s. Pz.Abt. 503
My sources show Tigers of this Abt. being all solid panzer yellow at the time of Kursk in July, 1943. They also show these Tigers being panzer gray with whitewash during the Winter '42-'43. It is probable that they were still gray after the whitewash wore off during the spring and weren't painted ye...

Re: Puma Pre-order
Like the rest, I never pre-order as I've been burned a couple of times when I asked vendors to hold an order until all of it can be filled so I wouldn't be charged more than once for shipping. They shipped anyway with just the one item. I do plan on getting the Puma, but will bundle it with other it...

Re:FOV Tiger I Opinion
My books indicate that tank it probably from schwer Panzer-abteilung 503 which operated in Normandy from July, 1944. This unit used the black numerals outlined in white and had a tank numbered "331". The placement of the numerals and the placement of spare track links on the turrent and not on the f...

Re: 21st Century Marder III H
Just based on one source, I doubt this Marder S1 vehicle would have this camo in Russia, 1941. Pictures I've seen show only gray vehicles covered with dust and mud, mud that was sometimes smeared on as camo. In winter, whitewash was applied. Now in spring of 1942 in Russia, gray vehicles with green ...

Re: FOV at TRU
'Stopped at TRU today and found two of the Elephants mixed in with the modern FOV vehicles. I looked at one of them for quite a while but finally left it on the shelf. If there'd been a well-sculptured crew member or, perhaps, some interesting markings I probably would have picked it up. They also h...

Looks like they were inspired by the M20 Armored Car crossed with something from the second Mad Max movie.

I popped the gun from it's mount and then filed the bottom of the shield at the back of the mantlet down until it would depress sufficiently. I then popped the gun back in.

1/72 Scale Preference
German tractor-drawn artillery: 10.5cm FH18 or 15cm FH18 with 5-ton tractor. It's a possibility now that HM is doing the 25 pounder.
