Very interesting.

I may e-mail him and see if there is a list of the different buildings, or at least the categories...

Nice job.

Getting the holes covered on the sides is a pain. I ended up using a bunch of stuff from Build-a-Rama. I've got one I tried to putty, and I'm just not happy with the results, plus it's ALOT of work.

I've bought a number of these at my FLHS (Friendly Local Hobby Shop). The nice part is, the weapons are loose, so you can mix and match.

New FOV 1/72 figures

Found a set of Russian Cossacks, including a mounted, saber-wielding one and a set of German mounted soldiers in my local TRU.

The funny thing was, neither set was part of the advertising on the back...

I wonder how many other unpublished sets there are out there.

I have one. I'm in the process of converting over to ARVN markings. I've got half the US stars off, but things have been a little hectic the last month, so I had set it aside.

In fact, I think I'm going to go work on it now...

FS - Jolly Rogers Hornet - NRFB

As much as it pains me to sell it, I have a NRFB (Never Removed From Box) solid black Jolly Rogers Hornet. It's still in the original shipping box from Bad Cat Toys, so I can ship ASAP. I don't know how many were made, but I believe it was a Bad Cat exclusive and it sold out FAST (faster than the Bl...

Custom 1/72 M113A2

Removed the "1" from the "/61" with non-acetone fingernail polish remover and added some Aircraft decals that I found at my local hobby shop. Used the same process as before (layer of gloss lacquer, micro sol, micro set and a layer of flat lacquer), but these turned out alot better. I had to cut the...

Thanks for the updates. I've both worked at an ISP and had problems with domains and website hosting, so I know how frustrating it can be.

In fact, I have a historical website that's been down for about a year because I don't want to deal with the hosting hassles again.

I have a 1/18 scale Swift boat that's waiting for me to work on it. I picked it up on E-bay about a year ago. It was a R/C project, IIRC. There are original Navy plans out there for the Swift Boat, PBR and River Monitor as well as the Pegasus-class PHM (not to mention lots of others, those are just ...

I used to be big into 1:18 because of the selection. I mean where else could you get an M1 Abrams, an LAV-25, helicopters AND an F/A-18? That very reason (along with lack of space) pushed me down into being primarily a 1:72 collector. I have a couple different M1s (AND T-72s for them to fight), five...

Not to nitpick, but neither Aleran nor Fingerprint do anything but WWII and Archer does OIF, but doesn't do ANY Vietnam era decals (and only Arabic decals for a 1/72 M113), so I stand by my original statement.

Customized 1/72 M113

Since there's an almost complete lack of decals for 1/72 armor, unless you buy a kit just for the decals, I decided to use some aircraft decals. I went through my local hobby shop's decal box and bought the ones with art that caught my eye. This is the first one I finished... http://www.aimm.museum/...

Yep, Scout, we're going to have to disagree on this one. You're wrong. TANSTAFL (There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch) I'll give you an example. Are you looking for modern? If so, the figures from the Battlefield:Evolution sets are 1/72. I've used a set of calipers on them, comparing them to both the FOV figures and Airfix unpainted figures. http://www.mongoosepublishing.com/home/series.php?qsSeries=47 For WWII, I can't help you (not my area).

They're making pretty good progress through the list, too.

I just got the PLAN Type 33 Submarine in. It's top notch. The mold lines are nearly invisible and the paint job was well done. I bought two, one to keep as a Chinese sub and one to repaint as a Russian Romeo-class.
