I am still on the fence on the Hellcat (saw it once at TRU and was kind of disappointed by fit and finish), but I would still like to pick up a Zero at some point. Other than that, I have representatives of everything I want (at least that has been released so far).

And I thought I had finally gotten the monkey off my back, but there goes another $130 (this time, for a 1/18 P-51 for a custom project, a case of Humvees, and some 1/32 stuff for a friend). Keep it coming, MD!

I am definitely in it for the long haul - I love my 1/18 collection, and while I may have be a bit more selective due to space issues, I don't plan on getting rid of anything, and I look forward to future releases from AT, bbi, FOV, and whoever steps up to take 21st's place. Once the economy stabili...

Wonder what happened to the KT? We heard that the KT was ready, then we heard the KT was "on the water"........ so what happened to it. I can see a ship load of KT's ending up at "Tuesday Morning" or some such outlet. TTT Somehow, I doubt the KT ever made it on the water (and likely ever into the m...

I haven't seen anything 1/18 (no figures, nothing) and just a couple 1/32 playsets since just after Christmas at WMs within 100 miles of me. To Tman's point - we in the midwest may have been the first to get a lot of stuff, but we were apparently also the first to get cut off from the supply chain. ...

Just messing with y'all. But it does seem to be loading ok on this end (unfortunately nothing new from 21st).

Photoshop can be relatively pricey (I think around $500-600 a license, last I checked on freestanding licenses instead of as part of Creative Suite). But it is fairly easy to learn the basics and the potential is almost limitless. A coworker and I did something similar to what you want to do using m...

Typically, you would want the widest angle setting you can get for the focus. The best thing is to try some experimenting - different cameras handle manual focus differently, depending on the camera lens, among other things. If your camera allows you to hook it up to the computer and view on screen ...

Wha..... digital camera and aferg in the same post? I am not sure I believe my eyes! flpickupman is right about the forced perspective idea. Also, a camera with manual focus options is ideal (I recently purchased a Canon A590 IS that allows a lot of flexibility), but many also have a macro mode that...

Chinese Humvee knock-off

Not a particularly bad price if someone wants a die-cast model of the Chinese clone of the Humvee: http://cgi.ebay.com/1-18-China-Dongfeng-Mengshi-Armored-car_W0QQitemZ130256482288QQcmdZViewItemQQptZDiecast_Vehicles?hash=item130256482288 Of course, when I see stuff like this, all I can think is: god...

Man, this monkey is harder to shake than when I quit smoking 5 years ago!
I had to grab the command car (never saw one the first time around), and since I just had a recent chance to hold the real thing (one of the two from the St. Valentine's Day Massacre), I had to order a 1/6 Thompson M1928 set.

How many chambers are there in the catacombs of the Monkey Temple of Toys? I see they now have the M1025 and M151 up there, and the OTHER M16 halftrack paint scheme.

We might just see the old Jeeps and some Spitfires yet...
