As I've said before, there is a glut of 1/18 and 1/32 Mustangs, BF-109s, Zeroes, FW-190s, P-40s, Corsairs, Hellcats etc. However, there are no 1/32 F-15 Eagles, F-14 Tomcats or F-22 Raptors. BBI and 21st Century: if you make them, we will buy them. We can't buy what what you don't make. Enough of th...

I agree. There's a glut of mainstream WW II planes.

I'd like to see some 1/32 jets---there's NOT a glut of them. (F-15, F-14, F-22)

COOPER:

Thanks for the info. I'm surprised there's no mention of an F-4J repaint.

I'm disappointed there's no 1/32 F-15 Eagle--since no one else makes one.

Also, what other items were listed?

The Target Donald Duck had a better deal when it was $35 with free shipping plus I used a 10% discount offer, so I got mine for $34---cheaper than the present deal.

I assume the F-16 is discontinued, but I hope Target restocks it.

next toy fair?

When is the next major toy fair that will provide the best look at upcoming products from BBI and 21st Century?

I'm very interested in what the 21st Century 1/18 F-4D Phantom II will look like (vs. the prototype photo shown last year) and possible repaints of BBI's F-4J.

POKEYJTC: I saw some WW II figures, but I've been to 5 Targets in 1 week. I think the WWII figures were either at the Memorial or Galleria/San Felipe Target. I saw some BBI paratrooper figures on clearance for $1.48 at the Target on Westheimer one block west of the Wal-Mart one week ago. They were a...

I wish BBI was as productive as 21st Century in releasing more products.

The new Panther looks good. I'd like to see a new 1/32 Sherman and Tiger I.

I asked this question on the Reference Room and got no answer, so I'll ask it here:

Can a Sherman with the 105mm howitzer, firing a HEAT round, knock out a Tiger in a frontal hit?

Maybe the BBI employee responsible for the "Capt. John Madden"on the "Killer" P-51 also did their Sherman commander, too.

Sherman 105mm vs Tiger?

Could a M4 Sherman with the 105mm howitzer firing a HEAT round knock out a Tiger from the front?

I'd opt for the BBI Sherman, but it's an 105mm. I'd opt for the 21st Century Sherman, but it's discontinued.
That leaves the FOV Sherman----that's not available at the Target nearest you.

Also, the BBI crewman looks mad...big-time mad.

GOOGLYDOOGLY:

Thanks for the info.

Comparing photos of the 21st Century Sherman ($15--$30)to FOV's new Sherman ($20), the 21st appears to be the winner---more detailed, accessories, crewman, etc. and worth the extra cost.

Unfortunately, the 21st tank is discontinued.

A belated happy birthday to a fellow NCer. My birthday is next week, Jan. 27.

I'm accepting BBI F-4Js, F-16s, 21st Century's F-4D Phantom II, Shermans and Tigers (from any company) for my birthday present.

So BBI is going to take on 21st Century with 1/32 WW II planes, in addition to its F-4J jet.

Competition should bring out the best in everyone...particularly the customer.

21st Century XD 1/18 Sherman?

I saw photos of 21st Century's discontinued XD 1/18 M4 Sherman--olive drab in the SSHQ photo section. It looked very impressive.

Can anyone review it in terms of accuracy, detailing and what was the price?

AFERGUSON: I agree with you. The public has a love affair with the F-14, probably because of Tom Cruise's TOP GUN, and with the colorful individual squadron markings, the F-14 has more sales potential than the other jets. However, I love the F-15C and its two-tone grey paint scheme. This is the next...

I still think 1/32 F-14 and F-15 are more likely than 1/32 versions of the F-16 and F/A-18 because BBI already has 1/18 versions of the latter two.
