As for the type of magnet, I'm afraid that I can't say much. About all I have to offer is that the ones I got were round magnets ~12mm in diameter, and 6mm thick. This equates to roughly 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch. They came in pack of 4 or 5 (probably 4 unless I've lost one). The cost was minimal. Now he...

I agree with all these thoughts! I must say, since I'm partial to modern, the A-10 gets my vote. Well, and the P-38. My neighbor flew them in WWII, and I'd love to get one to give to him (preferably before he dies... Are you listening manufacturers? I may not have a lot of time here...). But those a...

That's a cool idea.. See, now that's what I thought... But when the Germans and Americans joined forces to attack the grocery list, and Sherman tracks were found all throughout the week's menu, I began to get some disapproving glances. I think maybe taking the vegetable magnets off of the fr...

I picked up a few. I needed magnets on my fridge and dry erase board. So I got a package of tiny magnets from Radio Shack, a couple of WWII tanks in 144th... I'm sure you can see where this is going. Now the dry erase board becomes a map/aerial view, and battles are planned, fought, and won or lost ...

For those of you who insist on the enthusiast series only, there is a guy on ebay who auctions off enthusiast pieces that have "less than perfect" boxes, usually busted out window panes, crushed corners, and that kind of thing, but the models themselves are undamaged, the opening bids on these are ...

I suppose enough time has passed that I can chime in without worrying about throwing off my own poll numbers. I'm that guy. The one who answered the poll saying that I prefer the Action series FOV. In all actuality, I'll take what I can get, not everything gets released in Action. As has been mentio...

WWII armor, especially eastern front, is where the enthusiast grade really shines. I have seen the Tiger and King Tiger at Target and I think they are laughable next to my enthusiast grade pieces. Of course, saving $20 is always nice! So, what you're saying is that I need to go ahead and get the T-...

Action or Enthusiast Series?
I was curious to see how the numbers fall for both the Action and Enthusiast lines from FOV. I discovered Action first, through mass retailers, and only came to learn of Enthusiast later online. I have since purchased both, and have stumbled around enough to see that there aren't always all that man...

1:32 Japanese diorama kits
http://i17.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/b6/10/e820_1.JPG Link to an ended Ebay auction Link to an ongoing Ebay auction I bought several of these kits over the last few months at my local hobby shop. They seem to be just plastic models of various street scenes in a mostly rural area of Japan. No real time f...

Excellent! These were badly needed for wargaming. Now if I could find 1/144 scale figures! -Ski I just happened to stumble across some 1:144 scale Preiser military figures this weekend. They're a little out of my normal AO, but I know there is a member who is closer. I didn't buy them, the box was ...

Just did a little wandering about. Target in Visalia, Ca did have a 1:32 Action Grade HIMARS, as well as the standard M1A1, several sets of soldiers, but nothing new, and the Stug and M5. Tulare, Ca Target had the same, but with one interesting example, a weathered, metal antennaed (is that a word?)...

I picked up an action grade Stug III G at TRU the other week. I wasn't all that into the Stug, as I'm more into modern armor, but I thought I could damage/destroy it to create diorama wreckage, or, kitbash it and a 21st Sherman with the dozer blade into some sort of (for my purposes) homebuilt Iraqi...

August 15th. That's the date I registered for this site. Several rounds of account activations passed, but to no avail, I could still not log in. San Fran Fleet Week pics, and others...
Let me begin by stating that these are not my pictures, just some that I stumbled across and thought I'd share. The first group are from this years Fleet Week in San Fransisco. I really wish I could have gone and watched that "Sneak Pass". Under the bridge, and then down to 20' off the water at tran...

Success! Thank you! Now I'll go home from work, and out to dinner, and not be able to post anything until Thursday, but still, I made it! My girlfriend will be so...
