I want a larger scale model of a space destroyer model but no one makes it. What's required besides a 3D cad model? Can the parts from the original kit be scanned with a 3D scanner?

Wow, that is really nice!! I once had a V2 rocket I built bought for a museum display. It was quite an honor for me knowing hundreds of people would be looking at it every year.

Revell recently released a 1/4000 scale Imperial Star Destroyer model. It is a snap-tite kit designed for younger builders and has lights and sounds. Says they are available at Target, though I have never seen one there and found mine at my local Hobbytown USA store. It is a nice model and at 15.75...

Yes, the Imperial is the trilogy ship.. Disney also makes a diecast Star Destroyer that is about the same size and also ...

The Star destroyer is 8" long and 5" wide, there really isn't a scale to these that I know of.

The wings will go together tighter. You'll need to take an exacto knife and carefully trim of the extra material around the tabs. Then the wings will press together tighter
