I usually remove tape about 1/2 hour after spraying, but I use paints that are fairly fast drying. I also use brown packaging tape for masking, instead of regular making tapes. 3 sqn RAAF operated the P-51d from November '44 until the end of the war in Italy and I think Yugoslavia too. I don't think 77 sqn saw any action during WWII with the P-51d.

since there's been so much interest in this topic, lol, I figured i'd update it with my findings. Most all of the large Bruder vehicles are about 1/16.8 scale. The really large Volvo truck I mentioned above is 1/18.4 scale and the smaller Bruder vehicles are 1/16. Bruder has made a variety of figure...

i'm very tempted to get both the M198 and sFH 18 in 1/16 scale. Does anyone have any pics they can post of either of the 1/16 guns built up, with 1/18 figures beside them? I'm afraid they will look like children manning the guns...

However you'd think at that point in the war they'd be rushing Tigers back up to the front, not using them as tow veh...

this is a picture of what appears to be a turretless tiger I tank towing a Russian IS-2 in the spring of '44. Is this ligit? Was it some kind of field modified Tiger tank?
