Which "new" era would you like to see 1/18 figures

Since I'm stuck at work today, I got thinking about this, and wanted to see others opinions. If you could pick one era (so far, with no toyline out) that a manufacturer would got out and make ARTICULATED 1/18-scale figures for, along with a couple "vehicles" and accesories, what would be your first ...

Interesting about Wave 2, all the Russians. I guess that means Indy IV has the Soviets as the bad guys?

I think Jesse has most of Wave 1 on his website pictured. Haven't seen anything on the others.

From the toy side, I've kicked this around personally for a long time. Before 21C, I really was not into the "real" military toys. So, I was hesitant to buy too many Germans (or Vietnamese) at the time because those were the "bad guys" and were "evil". But, the German hardware and uniforms have alwa...

Sometime, a while back, I posted a quartermaster figure I did. The head came off one of the Gracelyn Deion Sanders figures. He currently needs some rework (damn 21C waist joint sheered right off). Also, BBI has done quite a few AA head. Don't forget about one of the original SWAT figures. And, GI Jo...

Clearance Thursday at Target

Check your Targets today. The one I hit this morning had toys 75% off today (FYI Thursday is the day Target reduces stuff - who know what day Walmart does it). BBI figures were $1.28. Parachute figs were $1.48. For those interested, GI Joe Cobra legion sets were $6.48 (got a few more). Usually, all ...

The Mig-21 is the big one for me. That will definitely be a multiple purchase. I've tried not to get too excited about it - after the time it took for the Avenger to reach the market, I figured it best to be patient. Might be time to go back through my references and see which eastern block schemes ...

Man, usually the start of the new year is dead toy-wise. But this year is off with a bang. The FOV figures, the 21C two-packs (which I'm still hunting for), and now this beast. WOW! Especially in the DAK scheme. Please, oh please, let there be some Brits for this beauty to target/be taken by.

Fortunately, I can pass on this one. Then again, we've had Shermans from three different toy makers. It would h...

Went to Target this morning - score! Bought 5 Germans and 1 US. Decent figures. Nice that they can sit down easily. As Digger observed, they do seem a little more "toy-like" that the 21C stuff. But, they compliment the 21C stuff very nicely. Plus, who can complain about more well-made figures? Espec...

Quick general aviation custom

I've been keeping an eye on this Playmobil aircraft all Christmas. I've wanted a general aviation plane to ferry people around in, and this one seemed like with a little work, that it would suit my purpose. Really, it didn't take much to make it work. Needed to repaint the fuselage because of the fu...

MORIAN MINER: I wonder if that is more evidence that Target is dropping all BBI products. A week ago it was BBI vehicles on clearance, now it's figures. I was at Target on Saturday and they had a few BBI vehicles and helicopters, but lots of figures. No, Target is quick on the clearance trigger. To...

Went to two Targets this morning. Interesting thing is there were 4-5 pegs FULL of BBi figures. One had only one peg of FOV, the other only had 4 FOV figures. Bad for BBI, good for potential clearance fodder in January.

And to reply to Stuka - yes, all went on the pegs.

Walmart is generally where you find the under-the-aisle stuff. For Target, I've seen people hide stuff in coolers in the sporting good section. And TRU, my favorite is the ones who hide stuff in the overhead bins a few aisles away from where the rest of the products are. You can't but help them put ...

What would be cool is if two of the members around here got together and bought one, and went half-sies. Then, cut the guy in half down the centerline, and each one does a full-on detailed interior. Sweet. Very, very sweet.

Now is the time of year to keep an eye on Target. They usually do a toy clearance the week or so before Christmas. Best example I have is the first year LOTR came out, there were figures that hadn't even been on the shelves yet that year on 50% off clearance.
