EDIT: Did anyone ever see what scale the Action Man figures are? I figure they are 12in, but never seen any of the web sites specifically...

If you're not overly picky, this Toy Fare seemed pretty good for 1/18 in general - even if not necessarily for 1/18 military toys. Hasbro is pumping out a ton of GI Joe junk and Star Wars (as usual). For new/continuing 3-3/4" figure lines, you have wrestling figures, DC Heroes, Heroes (the TV show),...

Can't wait for the Indy line. Will definitely pick and choose, but there is definitely some great stuff. The German motorcycle, the German cargo truck, Russian soldiers - yep, good stuff.

Yeah, a bit clunky. But maybe some potential for customizing into something more realistic. Maybe. I think its cool though. Sure I'll pick up a few, along with the horse set. EDIT: Looking at the motorcycle, it may just be the hole for the screw to bolt the halves together. But, it does remind me of...

Pretty funny you just bought one. Tomorrow, Mr. Postman should be delivering a HL M-41 with airsoft cannon. Oooooo, I can't wait. Pretty much the same price as you got yours.

Yeah, thanks to RED for hosting this contest. I've been wanting to play with the comic book software for some time. This gave the perfect excuse to play around with it. Unfortunately, even with the couple months RED gave, I still ran out of time (like I'm sure everyone did). For whatever contest com...

Thanks, Schizuki. I'm thinking, based on your comments, the Pantone number just references what "color" they want, not the specific paint.

Question about paints

Someone was posting some images of unproduced GI Joe items. One thing I noticed was on the 2.5" figures, they kept referencing "Pantone" paints. http://www.joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=3962&start=0 I seem to remember a discussion before that toy companies seems to keep what paints ...

I wouldn't bother with the matching paint schemes. But, make sure to heavily weather the vehicle, and add some rust to the older ones.

Decided to use this contest to experiment with some things I wanted to try out. Some things worked, some things didn't. Anyways, this story is one of those "True stories heard from a guy who knew a guy.....". My buddy's father-in-law was in the 99th, and this is one of the stories he would tell abou...

Warm memories of the Hogshead.... Remember finding them right when they came out, and carrying three of them out of the store. Especially nice since they were only $30 then. Back to the topic, I wish the M48 would reappear in one of these lines. Although not "right", I really dug the look of the Sah...

At least give 21C some credit for releasing some figures to tie in with an upcoming vehicle (the 88). Also the fact that both the figures and vehicles are painted for the same theater.

The quotes I've read from the designer said he wanted a more modern turret. Supposidely this is shown on the DVD, but I haven't watched that disc. When I've looked for pictures on the MK VII, it has no turret. Then again, this is the same photo all over the web. http://www.geocities.com/Pentagon/Qua...

They had a new, 7 inch Indiana Figure at the Disney parks before Christmas which looked REALLY nice. We're going in February to Disneyland, and I'm hoping they have them when we're there. And I wish, years ago, I would have bought the vehicles. All I bought were a couple of the Indy figures. Oh well.

I though the Last Crusade tank was based on the Mark VII, but with some differences (the turret, if I remember correctly). Either way, I wouldn't complain about getting any of the early beasts.

I'm thinking unless they ROYALLY screw up, the truck will be useable in someform - a few mods aways from a really nice model, a base for customization, or a source of truck wheels. Maybe for Aferg they'll put out a U-boat hull  Even better, a Nazi staff car. And although its not any actual tan...

Interesting. I didn't think WWI would be so overwhemingly popular. Would be nice for diorammas...I like making trenches :) . If you only have a couple months, what's a few boxes? Three is nothing, especially if you have to store stuff for your G-scale railroad  . Garages, top shelves of closets....just put them aside.

If space is such a major issue, there is EvilBay.
