No new stuff

I would agree, I've been secretly patrolling the local stores to replenish my previously sold ranks and I just haven't been able to find any good stuff anywhere. I'm glad I did hang on to my FOV enthusiast Pershing though 8)

Yeah, I noticed that the tracks on all the panzer IV variants 21st makes have the same tracks that they used on the Bulldog. I remember when the Bulldog first came out, and thinking that they looked somewhat like Panzer IV tracks. Somewhat, but they shouldve made new ones for the panzers, the resemb...

Germany

My guess would be because it doesn't have any zimmerit, and all panthers in Normandy had zimmerit applied to them.

I'm going on pure memory, as that soldier is no longer in my collection, but I'm fairly sure the Afrika Korp guy was going over some grass hill(Which was the same base as one of the Desert Brits, just painted a different color and I think sand bags instead of a chunk of wood), and he had his rifle w...

Any one else notice?

Did anyone else notice that the preceeding series 4 troops gave us a clue that these were coming. I figured it out when the series 3 troops came with that solitary fallschirmjager, and then the next series was the rest of his crew, plus one lonesome Afrika Korp soldier... Of all the things I regret ...

I saw this movie when it first came out in one of the Art Festival type theatres in downtown Phoenix. I got lucky, if it hadn't been for an accidental click at Apple.com's movie trailer page I would have never known about it. I thought it was a really good film, and very funny in certain parts, espe...

I admit, I bought both as well, couldn't pass them up. I also saw on my last visit new books in the Stackpole Military History Series, the same series that already has Panzer Aces 1 & 2, Tigers in the Mud, and Waffen SS Battles 44' to 45'( I have these). The new ones were a two set on the 12th SS Pa...

BBWT

I went to their site about a week ago, right around the time I came back, and all that was there was some wierd page with a bunch of links, the only similiarity to the original page being the name at the top. I sincerely hope they didn't go out of business, I did enjoy participating in their monthly...

The price of starting over

Since I've officially decided to get back into 1/32 collecting I went through the lists of 1/32 I got rid of and came up with a price to replace it. Around $900, without shipping, ouch. It's is definitely going to be a long-term thing, and going to college will interfere somewhat. The collection is ...

M113

Saw this at my local wal-mart today, along with 2 jagdtiger and 2 kingtigers. I hadn't heard anything about an m113 so I'm wondering if this is brand new, or just old enough to not be discussed.

Ah, I stand corrected. I told you I needed a refresher course. I dug around my library for the WWII Magazine where I remember reading the story, and yes I see that it was an M10 he stood atop whilst earning his medal(s).

Jagdpanther

I wouldn't worry about it too much guys, the Gotz Von Birlichten, the unit that counter attaccked Carentan didn't even have Jagdpanthers, only stug IIIs and IVs. I was super impressed with how well they made those stugs though. And that scene that was refered to where Audie Murphy stood on the Sherm...

Jagdtiger and King Tiger length?

I haven't had the luxury of viewing these beauties in person, but from the pictures I've seen the Jagdtiger and the King Tiger seem to be the same length. Now correct me if I'm wrong, I am in need of a bit of a refresher on my panzer facts(hard to believe huh!), but isn't the Jagdtiger chasis/hull s...

I really don't know, although when my step-dad said that they did, it didn't seem too unreasonable. I could see that maybe on really hot days, some things might, but generally I think insulation does its job and keeps things from getting to that point.

Well strike that, I guess it's really funny for my step-dad to mess with me on Father's Day, especially after I get him a card and that cool laser leveler. I feel like the biggest dope. He had it all along, sitting in the garage, not melted at all. He did admit to dropping the box though, but that i...

Need an honest opinion

Ok, so when I went "AWOL" as Teamski put it, I didn't entirely give up on 1/32, I did keep some stuff. I kept those pieces that I'd spent the most tim on, especially the Panther. I also kept Harry's Kingtiger and stug, and a few others. Well, in the spirit of maybe slowly beginning to re-collect wha...

...but I couldn't keep myself away. How are things in the world of 1/32? From what I've seen on ebay, things seem pretty good.
