Re: BBi Bf-109G Glaring Issue.
Personally, I haven't developed scratch building skills on the level that I'm ready to start dismantling my 1/18 planes, but maybe someday. Have you considered building Trumpeter's 1/24 bf-109? Smaller for sure, but it's still a big Gustav and would allow you to achieve the accuracy you're looking ...

Pretty terrible effort from AF1, and extremely disappointing.
A real blemish on the brand, and does not bode well for future releases.
Not much else to say.

Re: Product Review: Hobby Master E-2C Hawkeye in 1:72 Scale
Thanks for the review tman. Excellent as usual.
Model itself looks good, but passing on this release due mainly to the gaudy scheme.
Will wait for a more standard USN scheme before pulling the trigger.

Re: Soviet Fighter
Nice pickup kreiglok. 8) I am also surprised at the lack of Soviet aircraft, in Soviet markings. :?: While it is great to have the "satellite" and other countries markings, the lack of USSR markings seems strange. Wish they would do more. HM even did a Mig 21 in Mongolian Air Force markings.

Re: REVIEW OF THE 1/18 scale Harrier AV-8B
Thanks for your review of the new Harrier, Aviatornut. And with pictures as well. Glad and relieved that this has finally hit the shelves after much trial and tribulation. Overall, I think it looks good, and has a surprising amout of detail. But really disappointed that they couldn't line up the " M...

Re: 1/18 Merit Fw190a
No idea why the Focke Wulf 190 didn't sell back in the day ? And to be honest, don't think it had aything to do with it being a Dora version. In my opinion, the Dora looks better than the A model, and has better lines, with a more powerful/ faster look to it. My opinion. I personally think it had to...

Re: Any Scoop on the new 1/18th Scale Harrier...?
After this long, what's a few more weeks? Got to keep in mind it's the "only game in town". We're beating up the one and only source that's even attempting to mass produce ANYTHING new in 1/18 planes and anything new since their fine Dauntless. For what they are putting into these, they cou...

Re: Any Interest In The F-16 Conformal fuel tanks ?
Snake ...well.... Have you seen the price of paint lately ? I am sure I can not find a paint color off of the shelf to match so I need to match my own . After sanding and priming then final painting you are looking at about a half of days work spread over 3 days. Then the price of paint on top of t...

Re: [1/18] Handcrafted F-16 Figurines
very nice. Do you offer the unpainted pilot version ? I need couple pilots for my F14 and these won't work. I'm interested in the US Navy F14 pilots for my Jolly Rogers F14. It would be nice if you also offer them unpainted for collectors who can do their own painting.[/quote] And painted, for thos...

Re: Any Interest In The F-16 Conformal fuel tanks ?
So it looks like 5 guys have interest. For those guys who are on the fence I am thinking around $35 and for you all who would want them ( matched ) custom painted , an additional $35. Plus shipping Double the price to paint, Matthew ? You know I am not one to complain, but does seem a little pricey...

Re: IXO "Junior" Question
Not much to add, and the important facts have been posted.
But I like mine, but only went for the more unusual ones. Do 335, He 219, Arado 234, HS 219, Skua.
Quality does vary, and best to check for images of the model you might be interested in.

Re: NOBODY posted about a brand new HM 1/72 Tomcat ?
Basically an exact copy, and the price is only marginally cheaper. I have always been a big Century Wings fan, and have their entire line up, except for a couple of the latest SR-71 Blackbirds. Not very happy that HM chose to do the Tomcat. Various reasons. Don't need anymore, and happy enough to pi...

Those look very good !
Nicely detailed, and I prefer the painted versions.
Think the price is very reasonable for what you offer.
Probably a good market for USN Tomcat F-14 pilots as well.

Think those conformal tanks are a great idea Matthew. 8) Definitely gives the Viper a different look. My modelling days are long over, so if they were already painted, I would definitely be interested. For the "standard" BBI F-16, simply two different shades of grey. An enthusiastic YES from me. :D

Great to see that the U-2 is still flying, and doing its thing 60 years on.
And that they are giving serious consideration to developing an upgraded version.
Who would have thought that this "glider" would have lasted so long.

Re: Historicly Accurate Vs Aestheticl Pleasing Paint Schemes
Think most people would want historically accurate, unless that makes it look unsymmetrical, or "wrong" for some reason.
Even if it is accurate, if it looks off, the eye is instantly drawn to that, and no matter how much the brain says it should be that way, just doesn't look right.

All pretty reasonable prices, including the 1/18 Tomcats.
Not sure about that "D" model though. Nozzles just don't look right at all.
Pretty impressive line up of 1/18 aircraft for sale.

Another good example of customer service from HM.
True, a big screw up, but they corrected it quickly, and have nothing but good things to say about their customer service end of things.

Patiently waiting for mine, through my Canadian dealer. Shouldn't be much longer. This was on many peoples wish lists for a long time, and great that HM has gotten around to doing it.
