In the 1:32 and below scales, the vast majority of my collection is 21st Century 32x (and Cold Steel) Armor, Aircraft, Figures, and Buildings. I have several FOV 1:32 Armor pieces as well. I also collect 1:72 Corgi and Matchbox aircraft and I have a few Yat-Ming 1:48 scale planes as well. In the 1:1...

It will be awesome if they can be restored to flying condition. As the P-38 "Glacier Girl" project demonstrated (that was the P-38 excavated from beneath artic ice and restored), with a little ingenuity and manufacture of replicated parts, anything is possible.

My rule with XD on ebay is don't spend any more than you would hope to get for the product from a small retailer, including shipping! This doesn't always work well, especially if its a hard-to-find piece, but when it does there is usually a little less strain on the pocket-book.

Yeah - when the first series P-51 and BF-109 go for two to three times what I payed for them (and sometimes more) on ebay, that says alot. Loose SW stuff (from '95 on) generally doesn't go for quite that much. However, if its packaged or is a rarer figure or vehicle, that can be a somewhat different...

21st did do accessories, but only with the Halftracks and Hummer. Accessories with vehicles are a good thing. Perhaps the case with the BBI sherman's accessories will bolster the case for WWII weapons accessory packs to come with the future WWII figures!

Good Work!

The origional 'Lou IV' P-51

I have also thought about what to do with my 'Lou IV' now that the far superior BBI P-51 is on the way. Much like you say, aferguson, was the item that got me into this whole XD addiction! Save for the toyish proportions of the aircraft, I have to agree that I really like the paint job as well! Ther...

WWII weapons accessories would be totally cool! As would smaller sets, I might add. For those, artillery pieces, motorcycles, and a jeep would all be necessary!

Seeing the M113

I had the chance to meet up and have a nice chat with fellow board member cmelt27 (who turns out is a neighbor of mine) and saw the he had M113 in person. As if there aren't enough reviews, here is mine: The vehicle itself is rather nice, but is somewhat lacking when compared to the 21st Tiger, M-41...

Well now, there's some information! I might just have to hold off from the new APC to save room for the highly desired Panzer IV; we'll see, however! Its also very good to have a timeframe for the TBM and the F-104. The 104 seems like such an odd choice for a jet. The F-4 or ME-262 would be much mor...

Try the History Channel Store!

You may want to look at the History Channel Store on that channel's website. On TV, there are always advertisements of videos for nearly every show aired, especially the older ones. There was a series from a couple of years ago called "Heavy Metal" which had episodes on the Tiger Tank (with cool re-...

A "see who can build the biggest and best" 1:18 scale aircraft or armored vehicle competition is a distinct possibility between BBI and 21st. BBI with the F-18, I would imagine, holds the current postion of having the biggest and best 1:18 aircraft out there! 21st still has the best armor. Bigger pl...

BBI Sherman for Preorder

So far, nothing seems to have changed; there's no new info. The only place I know with anything on the BBI Sherman is the online store BigBoysWarToys. They have it up for preorder and say its coming in early November. I've posted the link: http://www.bigboyswartoys.com/cgi-bin/prod_page.pl?item=Elit...

Keanu Revees isn't only american, he's not even close to being Mexican! Actually, he's part Asian. One would think that with a budding Hispanic population in California, Texas, and the South West US (as well as Mexico) that they could find suitable Mexican actors. Benicio del Toro and Antonio Bander...

Dang! That is one fine looking aircraft! Now there is a 1:18 scale P-51 that truly does this most famous fighter justice!
