Re: bbi long bow apache?
Even if PTE or else, when the price remains down, still interesting. PTE items are very easy to custom, much more than BBI. For instance with e-motors to move the rotors or to light it with some LED's...

Re: 1/16th Scale WWII Vehicles
I'm living in Switzerland, so in the middle of Europe, but can't help: have no interest in WWII or 1/16. Found my happiness in modern 1/18 scale. Try to launch a topic about 1/16.

Re: JSI SU-27/J-11
If our Westworld is slowly going down, the chinese innermarket and life quality level is certainly growing quickly up and the russian might stay as it is. So, it's also possible that the SU-27/F-11 will wake more interest in these emerging countries and could arrive sooner than the F-15. Even more i...

Re: do you ever worry about your hobby?
Dear Snake, We have perhaps a chance to get more 1/18: Children loves big gifts like a vehicle, PTE have understood that 3 3/4" highly articulated figures are nicely playable and can remain cheap and easy to product. In that sense, I had to repaint a PTE little bird with a metallic dark blue and a l...

Re: Micro RC vintage biplane! with Video!
I would'nt fly with so much trees in the background, even if I know the place. Congratulations.
May be less risk of crash if the main undercarriage is a little bit more forward, so that the wheels protect the propeller of catching the terrain? I've had hard lessons with my small parkzone plane.

Re: 1/18 Carrier Deck Crew?
Hello, I've made a simple trial with 21st Century 1/18 US Vietnam tank soldiers, which were less than 2$ at smalljoes.com. Repainted their vest, added silver decals and made helmets with ear noise protection, using air drying putty, and BBI goggles. I wanted to make picks from my F/A-18, using the s...

Re: 1:18 F-104 Starfighter "Boelke"
I agree: the only manufacturer for the 1/18 104 was 21st Century. But this should be more than a repainted modell. Modified canopy, ejection seat, landing gear, moving flaps/elevon, removable missiles etc. makes it interesting. Add more than 50$ for shipping from Germany...

Re: do you ever worry about your hobby?
Yes, I worry. It takes money, time and place that could be used to make my family life better. But my harmless hobby helps me to be less aggressive from work or family trouble (when I am to much frustrated, it helps more to shoot with my kalashnikov, but it's not possible at my office or in my livin...

Re: 1:18 BBI Black Hawk / Pave Hawk skis
Well, I'm still on for 2 kits, but don't know how to launch a poll. Pickelhaube, I think you'll find my measures nearly correct if you take the BBI wheel as a scale and the picks to calculate how big these skis are. I found the following measures for the 1:18 modell: - Main skis between 5" 13/16 and...

Re: 1:18 BBI Black Hawk / Pave Hawk skis
In my thougts, the skis are totally removable, so no problem for the guys having in mind other projects like a jungle penetrator: they won't have to choose between Panama and Alaska. In my project, skis are fixed to the main wheels with thin axles. The dampers are simple aluminium tubes with an elas...

Re: 1:18 BBI Black Hawk / Pave Hawk skis
On one hand, we need more people than 3-4 guys to motivate Pickelhaube. Contact your friends. On the other hand, the skis seems to be "simple" to mold, one mold for both left and right main skis, one for the small wheels supports, one for the rear ski and one for the 3 small wheels + a few holes & a...
