Actually, the third wave was cancelled due to the damage reports being brought back.

The third wave was supposed to target the submarine base and the tank farms.

Thoughts on 1/16 OPFOR Options?

The thread on the 1/16 Tiger made me look at other 1/16th kits out there. There are two Trumpeter T-34 kits, a T-34/76 and a T-34/85. According to the reviews, they are very close to perfect, as far as being "in-scale". Since the NVA used a few T-34s, I'm wondering if they would be too big to use in...

There's also some nice resin and white metal stuff coming out for 90mm model figures. I saw a ship's swivel gun designed to go with a pirate figure, as well as some WWII russian weapons that will work with NVA / VC guys, and maybe even those "Eastern Warriors" There's even some US/German WWII stuff....

Thanks!

That confirms my suspicions. On one of mine, the back fuel tanks are really loose, so that's not too much of an issue.

M-113 Varients I'd Like to See

ACAV, obviously ITV (Improved Tow Vehicle) PIVAD A mortar carrier doesn't interest me, per se, but a big 1/18 motar does... I'm also thinking about getting one to turn into a BMP, since no one is doing OPFOR vehicles... BTW. how DO you take one apart? I see the two screws in the rear, but I don't se...

M113 Observations

Finally broke down and bid on a couple on E-Bay. They both came in today. I'm VERY impressed. One interesting thing was that on both of mine, most of the duffle bags, etc. weren't even glued on, except for the stuff on the left side, on both vehicles. Now, I need to find my Build-a-Rama stuff to han...

I picked up a RHIB (Rigid Hull Inflatable) from Power Team. It's pretty good, and at least gives my modern guys something to play with.

I've got the actual builders plans for a PBR and an Elco Boat (plus a bunch of others). Someday... someday...

I guess I'm not as much of a plane nut, being a Navy puke and all... The only repaint I've bought was the F-18. Couldn't pass up a combat version AND the Blue Angels. Well, that, and I bought THREE Cobras, but I got them for $10 each from a guy... Fortunately, I focus on post WWII, so that helps ALO...

I wouldn't sweat it just yet. February isn't even over yet. The year is still young and some exciting things have already happened. I think this will be a good year for 1:18, not just in aircraft, but in other areas as well. I know the Sherman, Super Humvee and Kiowa have all flown off the shelves a...

A couple of tips. Use a USPS Money Order. Send it with a minimum of "Return Receipt Requested" (I would send it certified and make the guy sign for it). Then, if he claims non-receipt of payment, print everything out and file a complaint with the postal inspectors. They have NO HEART, and take GREAT...

None at all to be had in the DC area, so I've just bid on a couple... I don't have enough free time anymore to spend checking every week like I used to. Of course, it's not like they're close by, either. The two closest are about 30 minutes each way from my house AT BEST, under the theoretically per...

Or had some buyers fail to follow through.

I forgot to pay for mine until yesterday. After I paid, I sent him an e-mail saying "sorry for not paying you sooner, I just forgot".

He replied almost immediately, and seemed very pleasant.

Remember that they are at a European toy show, not NYC. "I Love the USA" isn't going to go over very well, and bad press over there could easily scare a retailer off. The public has a MUCH longer memory there, both for good and for ill. "Ich bin ein Berliner" is still remembered, as is "Mr. Gorbecho...

I've reached the point in my life that I have enough other things to do, that I really can't spend a lot of time on "the hunt", especially for just one thing. There is a TRU close to my house that I hit once a month or so (or when I hear something new is out), but beyond that, my "hunting" is done o...

It's a PKM Machine Gun.

http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg07-e.htm

Although the site only shows it on a tripod, it also comes with a bipod, so it could be fired as shown... It wouldn't be smart, but it could be done.
