MRC is already doing 1/700, pre-built submarines through their "Easy Model" line. They are also being released as kits under the "Hobby Boss" brand. So far, about twice as many subs have been released as kits. Some of the subs available as pre-built are: World War II German Type VIIB Type VIIC 1941 ...

i think 1/1000 is a standard wargaming scale. Sorry, but I have to disagree. There are about 14 different scales used in naval wargaming, depending on the era and scope. Scales run from 1/6000 to 1/160, but I've never seen a game run, or miniatures in 1/1000. In fact, about the only genre that uses...

Why do I get this feeling that 1/16 may be the future of armor? I feel like I will soon be sucked into another scale... Thanks for the post OK. I have never seen this one before. I'm pretty sure that's a discontinued Verlinden kit. In fact, I think Verlinden has discontinued production of all of th...

For what it's worth, I have used 120mm Verlinden (VLS) accessories with many of my 1/18 vehicles. For example, I have VLS C-rations on the back of a Gate 1/18 jeep and they look great. I've used VLS MRE's in dioramas with my 21C Humvees, 21C Bradleys and BBI LAVs without any problems at all. I used ...

Don't forget that Trumpeter has already done 1/20 Chinese Type 98 MBT kit (I have one sitting on my shelf.) The detail is pretty good, IMO. Also, Trumpeter has been doing both kits and pre-builts in 1/72 and 1/700 scales (pre-builts under the "Easy Model" name and kits of the same things under "Hobb...

Anybody need a PAIR of Silver F-104s? (SOLD)

I've got TWO Silver (S-1) F-104s that came together in one shipping box. I really don't want to sell them separately, because I don't have a smaller box for each one. $50 for the pair, that's only $25 a piece. I will take Paypal, but I will also take MOs or even a personal check. Greg "Gunner" Stitz...

I collect so many different scales, it's hard to quantify. Most of my 1/6 scale stuff is in storage, as is almost all of my 1/18. However, about half of my 1/72 scale stuff is out, and about 80% of my 1/700 scale stuff and nearly 100% of my small scale (1/2400 Star Fleet Battles) stuff is out on the...

Easy Model 1/72 December Review

Just got the following from my local hobby shop: 35017 - 1/72 Russian BTR-80 37006 - 1/72 Eurocopter Tiger Attack Helo Both are nicely done. The helo especially has fewer prominent mold lines (a problem I noted in an earlier review of another Easy Model helo). The horizontal stabilizer on the tail i...
