Re: M41 Walker Bulldog tank question
If you're looking for a great 1:18 tank, the 21C Bulldog definitely fits the bill! It and the 21C Tiger are the two most detailed 1:18 tanks. The only real detractor is that it did not have a long, distinguished career. It was too late for the Korean War, and started to be outdated by the Vietnam Wa...

When I was a kid I loved the 80s GI-Joes and had a good collection. Unfortunately I became a teenager and sold them all at a yard sale, including a mint terror dome  I think I bought cds or something with the money    Anyway you guys know I like to customize stuff and I bought ...

these are re issue items do to demand from retailers. Im disappointed that the infantry sets were reissued in 3 piece sets instead of the 6pc original set. They have been selling very well and we just placed another large order since we sold out in about a week AG - what's your store website? I app...

Re: 1/18 British Cromwell
So I don't know much about armor, so somebody help me out here: why is there discussion of using a Russian T-34 to make a British Cromwell? What am I missing? Is the bottom half of a T-34 really similar to a Cromwell?

Re: merit Announcment
Kudos to JSI / Merit on two solid choices for brand new 1/18 items! Both planes are historic and legendary; something great for both WWII/Warbird fans and more modern enthusiasts. And both being all new, they can draw sales from both the 1:18 old-timers and newcomers. As mentioned, hopefully the gro...

Re: JSI F-86
Yes, the 21C F-86 is a great bird; great chance for those newer to the hobby to get one! It'd be cool if they made a ground-attack version (strap on some rockets) to add something new for those who already have one, but of course it was the air-to-air versions that were the storied heroes of the Kor...

Re: merit Announcment
WOW! SOOOO PUMPED!!! The Harrier is a perfect choice - 1) History-making aircraft as the only VTOL jet to see significant service 2) Decades of storied service for RAF and USMC (Falklands War, Desert Storm, Iraq, etc.). 3) Lots of variants (air-to-air, air-to-ground, US, Brit, Spanish, Italian, etc....

Re: Choice your most wanted plane and helicopter for 1:18 **
My favs: Helo - Mil-24 hind Jet - Harrier (USMC and/or RAF) Prop - Mosquito For helos, the next one almost certainly needs to be foreign (non-US). Hind would be the clear favorite, but it is big. The remaining US ones would likely be too big in 1:18 (CH-46, CH-47, CH-53, CV-22). For Jets, the F-14 s...

Great work as always with your dios, Granch! Two questions: if not your native Switzerland, where are the arctic commandos envisioned? What other country uses the SIG-550 series? And for the desert dio, are those all 1:18 diecast Land Rovers? They look great. I have a Bruder Land Rover Defender - mo...

Re: 1/18 Huey B from JSI exclusive for Merit International
Well if JSI still had the 21C mold, I get why for financial reasons they'd re-use it instead of tooling up an entirely new UH-1D mold. And I'm sure a B/C variant will still sell well enough for the newer members to the hobby who don't want to pay the big ebay prices. It's a solid mold for what it is...

Well I did make it to my local ToyZam last night - nothing truly new of course, but they had the Chinese APC, Humvee, Rocket copter, watchtower, the tan trench/wall set, DPV, SEAL 3-pack, plus a few of the single packs with accessories (camp set, dirt bike, parachute, kayak). The also had a 4" figur...

So I found a new retail source for PTE yesterday - a ToyZam! toystore at my local mall. They had a variety of figure 3-packs, some small single figure packs (motorcyl...

Re: Flightpose stands and 1:18 Hueys
Thanks for posting - I've been wanting something like this lately! I bet it would hold the 21C Huey - it's actually a fairly light bird (compared to say the BBI UH-60 or even the 21C Cobra feels a lot heavier). Personally, I'm looking for something taller - looks like these are 2.5" or 6" tall? I'd ...

Re: Merit 1/18 Huey
Looks VERY close to the 21C Huey - maybe they got rights to the mold? Granted, could be a new tooling and it just looks the same b/c they both represent the same subject matter in 1:18 - but that would beg the question - WHY RELEASE THE SAME UH-1C GUNSHIP THAT 21C DID?!?! Well anyhow, great for thos...

Yep, 6 mos. would definitely apply if he wanted to sell directly through the BST part of our board. But he also said he's active on a lot of different forums, so if he sold thru a different board where it's allowed, or through ebay or his own online store or whatever it could be a moot point. I'm ju...

Re: I can confirm that the Ghost Recon figures are cancelled
It appears that the whole GameStars line is done, unfortunately. It's too bad that Unimax didn't start out with some of the bigger names. I think they stumbled early on with the Crysis 2 and Red Faction stuff, which was pretty obscure in my opinion, and sealed the doom for their line going forward....

That poor African American solider has albinism on his hands!
I actually do like the new headscultps, though. Those 1st series 21C figs, though outdated in so many ways now, still hold a special appeal to me.

One other option I forgot to mention is there are some decently priced bridges designed for outdoor garden use, for example: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Garden-Bay-Bridge-26-Inch-Medium-1-/260986906424?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3cc4082738 Something like that at least provides a decent base to work ...
