Re: Do we really want new WWII figures?
eBayers are going for the gold on Marauder figures. That’s nuts! One can still get complete WWII figures directly from the Marauder Inc. online store for $29.99. I got some Russians and British figures from the initial Kickstarter and have gotten more since. I also just ordered some German ...

Re: 1:18 Panzer I project - Tracks installed 8-10-2020
Here’s an interesting variant one could make from Grunt1’s Panzer I: the Panzer I Ambulance utility vehicle.
The photo is of a 1/30 scale model and figures I recently purchased that are made by John Jenkins Designs.

Re: Vintage 1/32 Scale Monogram Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Rebuild
Thanks Normandy! I was born a few years after those vintage Monogram kits were released and after I got into model building around 1988, I built mostly aircraft for years before getting more into armor over the last decade or so. I like 1/32 scale of those vintage kits as it goes with all my 21st an...

Re: Area-21 news
Apparently Hobby Boss has gotten ahold of either 21st C. or Admiral molds as their Me 262 and F-86 are reported as repops from pre-built molds similar to the FW 190A series from the Merit molds. I've seen the sprue trees from the 262 and agree as it's quite simplified and has the same incorrect sin...

Re: Vintage 1/32 Scale Monogram Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Rebuild
Thanks C44! I’m not familiar with the article you’re referencing, however, I have heard that the vintage Monogram Jagdpanzer IV kit came with the options to make either the short-barrel L/48 version or the long-barrel L/70 version. Historically, the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 series, which was in production...

Vintage 1/32 Scale Monogram Jagdpanzer IV L/70 Rebuild
We need some more activity in the 1/32 scale forum! Anyways, I thought I’d share some pictures of a recent project where I repainted a vintage Monogram Panzerjaeger IV (Jagdpanzer IV) kit. I purchased the kit as a built model a couple years ago, but never warmed up to the builder’s original paint jo...

Re: Area-21 news
Hard to believe it’s been 20 years since 21st Century Toys released their Xtreme Detail line and 12 years since the company folded! In October 2000, I was in my first semester in college and was on a weekend trip up to Sacramento, CA. There was a Toys R Us near to where I was staying and I figured I...

Re: Area-21 news
Glad to see you check back in here, TKO! I’ve still got my 1/18 scale collection and surprisingly over the past 12 years since the demise of 21st, my collection has continued to grow, albeit a bit more slowly. There is a part of me that still misses those days of hunting through every Walmart in my ...

Re: 1:18 Flak 38 - Remastered

Re: Any Updates On The Injection King Tiger ?
At first I wasn’t sure what you were talking about, Picklehaube, but now I remember that thread from 2018 where that one time member Skorzeny was proposing to make an injection-molded King Tiger tank. Nothing ever came of it from what I saw, so I guess he never got enough orders to make a go of it. ...

Re: 1/32 A-26?
Axis, I think the 1/18 ME-262 kit is basically an unbuilt version of the old 21st model, which was generally accurate. Hopefully they fixed the canopy hinges. But Hobby Boss does have a lot of accuracy issues. I’ve built both their 1/18 FW-190A kits and from wrong paint guides and markings to inaccu...

Sorry to hear you’re being trolled, Dragon, and it’s sad to see this kind of stuff happen. There’s been a ton of interesting characters on this forum o...

Re: Stug IV In 1/18th Scale
I am thinking of $80 for the short kit fighting compartment only . The front glacias and rear deck would be extra Thoughts ? That works for me, Picklehaube. I know if one is kitbashing with one of the 21st plastic RC Panzer IVs, it’s possible to cut the front glacier and rear deck down to size with...

Re: Stug IV In 1/18th Scale
Picklehaube, that’s great and thanks for the info. I’m really glad to hear the kit will fit the 21st Panzer IV and that you’ll eventually cast the lower hull sections as well. A couple more questions: Will the model have the periscopes for the driver‘s position? Also will it contain other smaller pa...

That looks really cool
Neat to see how a Skystriker would have looked in actuality, had a real F-14 ever been painted that way.

Re: Stug IV In 1/18th Scale
That looks really nice, Picklehaube! I’m actually rather tempted by this... I built Aracula’s Stug IV kit a few years ago, and it would be nice to take a crack at one again. A couple questions though: Is the kit designed to be grafted onto a 21st Century Panzer IV hull/chassis or will you be making ...
