Re: Old Crow minus the Crow

I haven't heard of the Old Crow missing the Crow before. 21st century did leave "Old Crow" off the right side (only put the marking on the left side). So, BadCat Toys came out with an Old Crow decal for the right side to fix the mistake. But, again I've never heard of only the Crow part missing.

Re: MH-60 Refueling boom help

Yes, the paint matching at Home Depot is a great way to go. Just use the make-up pad method (need more info on this?) and you won't need to break out your airbrush. My pavehawk turned out beautifully with the Behr acrylic matched paint from Home Depot and the make-up pad painting method - easy and q...

My "Google-Fu" is very good. Although, I did actually see this movie just couldn't remember this particular quote.

Re: Question on 1/18 JSI F-14

That's a good price for one that has been "fixed" of it dreaded spots, especially shipping included. I took me most of a day to fix mine so you could save yourself a decent amount of labor, unless you are one of the few who like the spots.

I'll PM you and you can reply with your email - I'll forward you his email with the special - although I'm sure you could PM him (aviatornut) and he would give you payment and shipping details.

Also, I wouldn't display the F14 on its gear - your just asking for them to break. Get one of pizzaguy's acrylic display stands or just hang it from the ceiling with heavy duty fishing line. Or you can spring for SkyWorks Toys metal replacement landing gear too.

Re: Question on 1/18 JSI F-14

I just got an email from Aviatornut - his new sale price is $189.99 with a free F14 poster. I'm assuming it would be the original "spotcat" version. It really wasn't too bad fixing the spots myself on mine. The hardest part is masking off all the markings. After following many different techniques I...

Re: M113 Repaint (Op Iraqi Freedom) Finally Finished

Yeah, I know they started out without the turrets in Desert Storm, then started putting on the OD later in. Finally, started to paint them to match the desert. I haven't found any pictures of this particular vehicle (HQ 35 of 3I 3-69) that show it with a turret. So I need to decide if I stick with w...

M113 Repaint (Op Iraqi Freedom) Finally Finished

I had another thread titled "how to get Future off" so figured I'd post a separate thread with the final pictures from start to finish: Here's what it comes like: http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo111/pcoughran/m113desert.png After taking all the cheap looking stowage off you're left with about 2...

Yep, they are wearing the Desert flight suit in this version. I have the sharkmouth, got it at Target for $25 a couple years ago. It's very nice.

Re: 1/18 21st jsi and BBI items for sale

bigsarge, I had to drop my Sakai Zero to $50 plus shipping to get it too move. I just dropped my BBI Daisy June Corsair to $45 plus shipping and still no takers - I'm probably losing money on that too (my Sakai cost me 69.95 from Aviatornut if I remember right so lost $20 on it). I think interest is...

Have any bubble top P-47s or any of the 21st Cent. Spitfires? You could make a decent amount off those.

Re: NEW PRICE 1/18 Aircraft for sale (Corsair & BF-109)

Allright guys, I'm lowering the price again on the Daisy June Corsair. I'll take $45 plus shipping (which will probably be $16-$18 depending on where it goes). I paid $39.99 at ToyR Us a few years ago so with tax applied on that original purchase I'm not making any money on this. It is Mint in the b...

Re: BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

It's more likely that someone would buy one of the PTE Blackhawks that's labeled as a BBI 1/18 or one of the PTE True Heroes F22s also labeled BBI 1/18 or 21st in the title. If someone was looking for a gift and knew there giftee was into 1/18 they'd not be getting what they think.

Hope you find one, they offer a lot of possibility for repaint. I just finally finished mine after having it for a couple years. I bought mine used from a member with all the stowage already ripped off and holes all over that needed to be patched. Here's a pic: http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo1...

My Custom M113 (Op. IRAQI FREEDOM)

Here's the final weathered exterior. I still want to detail the antenna a little more and maybe add some "stowage." I'm debating adding Pickel's turret sheild. Also, decided to leave the mounting posts on the interior to allow me to handle it a bit, I may take them out in the future. Even after the ...

I'm pretty much done with the interior now. The exerior decals are done, just need to weather and apply some dullcote. I will probably add some antenna on top as well - oh yeah, need to put the tracks back on. Here's the real interior followed by mine: http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/oo111/pcough...
