Re: 1/18 A4E Skyhawk 2019
The variants are all dependent on Tom and what he prints. He's providing the bones and I am doing the detailing and molding. Each variant will require the same amount of work. So far from this thread there's at least 15 variants. That's probably 10-15yrs of work for one person. My knowledge on the ...

Re: Very very nice custom F14s
There have been quite a few tomcats selling in the 2500-3000 range lately on ebay. Even the horrid spotcat but mostly the led special version. These will sell !!! I highly doubt they'll sell but, time will tell. There are no shortage of idiots in the world. I don't even think the seams got filled o...

Re: 1/18 A4E Skyhawk 2019
According to the 1:18 scale Aircraft / bbi / 21st Century Toys page on Facebook, dannyc, Tom will be making the F-4 and a F-15 for 2019. The Phantom variants are F-4J/C/D then the F-4E/EJ/F, people can modify them beyond that he says. The F-15 variants will be F-15A/C/D/E. Start saving up your penni...

Re: 1/18 A4E Skyhawk 2019
Just a FYI Nathan, you mentioned "static control surfaces" for the A-4. The slats, on the A-4, were always down when she was parked (see my photo above) and also, where the slat meets the top of the wing, there should be NO STEP like most models often portray.
Hope this helps.

Excellent news Nathan, looking forward to the next update. I have a very good friend who is a retired Gunny and was also a civilian tech rep with the A-4E's and M's at the former NAS Willow Grove, PA. If you need any Skyhawk questions answered, let me know. The Trumpeter kit has A LOT of inaccuracie...

Re: JSI Tomcat - Super Detailing???
Absolutely amazing! Superb work. That would be museum quality work. Happy I could make a small contribution. Now it's time to tear it down and add LEDs and fiber optics. Nothing is ever completely done. :D Thanks very much Nathan, I appreciate that and your help. That's exactly what I wanted to do ...

WTB JSI F-14 "project"
Greetings all, I am looking for another JSI Tomcat. I am searching for someone who may have taken theirs apart and, now feel they are in over their head. All the parts need to be there, especially the landing gear and, not broken. I plan on using metal gear for the mains but, still require the extra...

Re: JSI Tomcat - Super Detailing???
Steve, really amazing. When I look at your Cat with just the sky in the background, I can't believe it's not real. A long time ago, I had the Elite Force F-16 and hanged it with fishing lines under a tree to make pics with no underground reference, so it was like really flying. Just had to remove p...

Re: JSI Tomcat - Super Detailing???
For the last week I've been looking over the your pictures Steve and the Tomcat is amazing!! Other than something in the background, the plane looks 1:1 scale. There is nothing that gives any indication of this being 1:18. The details you've added make this museum quality!! Thanks for the show :!: ...

Re: JSI Tomcat - Super Detailing???
Your Tomcat is a perfect example of the highest level a JSI spotcat can be brought to with some research, patients and skill. Your model exemplifies what others should be inspired to do to make their plane representative of a truly great fighter. Granted most members would not attain the level you ...

My bad, I saw that back in July of 2012 you were talking about your plans to work on your Spot Cat and hadn’t actually started the hands on part yet, you were just in the planning stages. I really can’t wait to see the finished bird, it’s been exciting watching it progress. Thanks so much, she's ge...

Sad news, I'll really miss this platform. Gone are the days of variety from the sky's and carrier decks, now it's nothing but f**king Hornets.

Greetings everyone, I'm thinking this will be my last update until the jet is completed. I want my final reveal to be a surprise for everyone and, because she's so close, I don't want to give anything away until she's completed. I was able to get the entire jet weathered and gloss coated again, to l...
