Re: Bookcase display base for 1:18

I've started a larger display base.... http://i1283.photobucket.com/albums/a551/Normandy02/IMG_2748_zpskh5i0ovf.jpg Just a little bigger than these bookcase displays. Looks great! I remember the woofer's great displays that he would pose all his stuff on, it's o e of the reasons I got into c...

I appreciate all of your input! Some of you mentioned size as a factor to consider for production and it should be. The Do335, IL-2 and Typhoon are all large aircraft but all amazing and deserve to be done, there are twin engine aircraft that I would love but they would be done in some future date s...

I would also love one however I don't know how many are into Soviet stuff, personally my favorite stuff is Eastern Front and late war paperpanzer/aircraft. The IL-2 is as big as the typhoon but would likely sell much less but I could be wrong.

The future

Hydrospan works and God willing my first project will be done soon and a list of others to boot. After those I am wondering what would be the most popular to produce. I know that 1/18 is not what it was. I have seen the amount of time and money Mathew has put into his Hind and shutter. I will do one...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a New Update with Pictures

Quite an interesting method. Does the hydrospan expand with precision? As in, can you get repeatable results scaling up to 1/18? Or is there variation in batches? Yes the stuff is very uniform and every batch has the same potential (original size x 1.6) or 60% increase. The variable is time, becaus...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a New Update

Ok here are some new pics, This will help you understand how I got it to work. First make a mold of the parts, all one sided in 1/48. Then build a wall of Lego around your mold and higher than it. Then pour in the Hydrospan. The result is a sheet of parts with a thick layer of Hydrospan base holding...

I am seriously thinking about starting my own scale by using hydro span and 1/18. One expansion up from 1/18 is 1/11. If I do it the first one will be the BBC 109, what do you guys think?

Cool looking plane and glad you were able to get it. Pictures to get an idea of scale.
