Halftracks are slower to arrive than FEMA...

Re: Louisiana...in that case, wrong island...! But hey, if you're ever swept away by a rising tide, ya' never know, we may end up neighbors...
Hope the hunt for Hanomags is going better down there than up here, still no sign of the new ones...hekkuva job, Wally...

RE: Sorry, but what is C'reach? Lazy man's way of writing Centereach, out in mid-Suffolk, Long Island :) ...lablksmith, where you at...? Are you on or near Long Island? We have a couple of board members from LI, tho' predictably a few have gone MIA...

All quiet on the Eastern front...

...slim pickin's, still you lucked out at WM, Suffolk has yet to see any of the new tracks & PAKs...hopefully some are sitting on trailers awating the shuffling of the new layout...but if anybody missed the earlier Hanomags, they're on clearance at C'reach for $13, likewise Mutts & Seal Jeeps...also...

Blast from the past...

These figures are from molds of Airfix 1/32 figures (& presumably licensed) and came out, if memory serves me, in the mid or late '70s...the paint jobs were pretty good for the price, especially the British paras...the plastic used was a different type than the Airfix so the paint adheres well, alth...

So close, so far...

Thanx for update, Normandy...was at 3 Suffolk locations today with zilch to show, C'reach in particular is so backed up with restocks of older tracks & planes I suspect that even when the new stuff arrives it may sit in the back for days...or they'll hide it in the housewares section... If an...

21CT 1/32 Model Airplane Kits...new concept?

Was at WM today and came across 21CT kits that appeared to be glue-together kits & not snapped or put together with screws (the parts may even have been on sprue, I did a quick inspection of 2 open boxes & can't quite remember)...the kits were unpainted w/decals...the only two types I saw were of a ...

Won't look a gift horse in the mouth...

Re: How WM does it's clearance thing...I was told the same story by the toy dep't manager at a local WM, and I believe her...she was lamenting that there was a lot of stuff she would like to discount but had no leeway to do so...I'm curious as to why some stuff is put on the shelf right away at clea...

Deja vu all over again...

Re: new stuff on L.I. ....not yet in Suffolk County, anyway...Centereach WM has restocked Atlantic Avengers, 10 of 'em way above the magazine section (!), too high up to check the price or even see if the screw holes are plugged, plus more Ridgerunners & the OLD 1/2 tracks restocked (again!), lots o...

Yeah, the Middle Island Wal-Mart is on Middle Country Rd. a few miles east of Cty. WTF,WM, where's the new stuff...?

Re: Migs, Paks, & new tracks on Long Island, fuhgeddabout it...last week I spotted an unopened carton of 1/18 military vehicles on a skid at WM & figured I had hit pay dirt, so I took out my pocket knife to grab the contents (this practice aggravates WM employees, but half the fun of shopping there ...

Re: Space shelf & unsold product...I've gotten that story from WM employees on a couple of different occasions, but this only seems to be true at maybe some of the WMs some of the time...one WM near me got the new Tiger-Panzer III & IV shipment while old armor idled on the shelves, and 2WMs got the ...
