Second that. I've found that it doesn't automatically resize for my widescreen laptop, either (1400x900). It's a little frustrating when, with the IE window maximized, the right third of the screen is blank and there is a horizontal scrollbar for the content on the left two thirds of the screen. Doh...

Thanks, dV!

I buy online when it's been stated that a paint scheme will not be available through WM/TRU or when enough time has past that things are starting to become scarce in any WM and they haven't shown up in my AO. However, especially with 21C's paint and manufacturing quality control problems, I prefer t...

Good trader

In a deal spanning almost exactly a week (most of which was snail mail delivery of my payment), der Vogelfänger and I closed a deal for (2) 1/18 scale A/C. The items were in the advertised condition, very carefully packed, insured and delivered Priority Mail. Two thumbs up for dV: thanks, Jim! aae83

Wick 109E

As I recall, this paint scheme was available through direct contact with 21st Century Toys. I heard about its availability on the original Groundpounder's forum. It wasn't so much a promo as an offering to their collector club(?). All it took was a phone call to 21st with your credit card to get it....

I believe I am on the 4 for Victory list, as well, though I have not received a confirmation of my address, or any recent email to that effect from 21st Century. (It would be very reassuring to receive some contact on the matter, tko. :) ) Am keeping my fingers crossed that it will just show up on m...

OK, I'll offer a lame guess. I'm thinking people are right and this is a Kate. So how can we support this using the clues we've been given? There are a couple of statements that jump out at me: 1) "Ladies and Gentlemen." This "three word" statement is a phrase frequently heard on the Seinfeld TV sho...

Me-262 Nose Gear

JOC, I ended up having to carve about 1/16" from the lower fuselage just forward of the nose gear opening in able to get my nose gear to come down fully. I also chamferred the nose gear door leading edge slightly, but the key seemed to be opening the hole more. Even at that, I needed to loop some st...

Combat aircraft longevity

The B-52 was introduced prior to the MiG-21 and is still active, I think.

A MiG-21 in 1/18th would be cool: many opportunities for repaints.

F-5/T-38 Opinion

Oops, the F-18 was a development of the Northrup YF-17 (that was developed from the F-20, that was developed from the F-5) that was in competition with the F-16, MD only got it after buying Northrup. Not trying to snark here, that's just what happened. I wondered how much the YF-17 (first flew in 1...

MiGs in Illinois

Last weekend, found a solo MiG-15 at the O'Fallon, IL, Wal-Mart. No sign of the F-86, though, nor any indication of either jet elsewhere in the St. Louis area. Saw several Smoke IIs around.

Situation could have changed in the last few days; haven't had a chance to stop anywhere this week.

More variations

tkjaer21, your list of aircraft is nearly complete, although the series number to paint scheme relationships are somewhat confused, I think. Here are a couple of other variations to consider and some comments: The S1 21st Kepford Corsair came in two waves: 1st issue w/ heavy silver "fingerprint" wea...

F-86 Inlet

I was wondering the same thing about the 21st F-86 inlet. The inlet leading edge appears to be much sharper than the real bird. This definitely detracts from the scale representation; hopefully, the delivered model inlet will be more blunt. :? Speaking of deep inlets, when I was a kid, I spent a lot...

For what it's worth, Military Toy Shop is offering a 1/72 die-cast F-22 in two different paint schemes, by a company called Gaincorp. Would the opportunity for repaints be somewhat limited for an F-22? What about a Lysander? Haven't seen many requests for that but, personally, I would love to see on...

Yesterday, I was pleased to find a 1/18 BBI Old Crow Mustang at the Crestwood, MO, TRU. Upon getting it home, however, I noticed that the painted name "Old Crow" appears only on the port side of the aircraft and not the starboard. SKUs

I've scanned the SKUs in and printed them on a photo printer to make a little index that can be scanned at price checker stations. Makes it really easy to check prices and you don't have to bother the staff. However, that doesn't tell you whether or not they're in stock. It also makes you drool when...

WM finds in St Louis, MO

In the St Louis area, I've found the following at various Walnut stores:

1/32 S2 Zero
1/32 S3 Zero
1/32 S3 Macchi

These were found mostly in stores on the south side of STL (Kirkwood, Fenton, Tesson Ferry and Cahokia, IL).

Also found the 1/18 Stuka and Corsair.

Where in MO are you located? Was wondering if these finds were in my AO (basically St. Louis)... That would be way cool.

Thanks!

Excellent trade completed with JOC

Wanted to put in a strong vote of confidence for JOC.

We just completed a transaction for a spare Kepford: he was very fair, courteous and up-front, and the item was received quickly, extremely well-packaged and exactly as advertised.

Thanks again, JOC!
