Love the livery, but price point + already owning 5 other Mustangs = I'll pass. $100 bones for a rehash mold is hard to justify during these hard times! Excited about the new company and wish AG much success but hope the prices are re-evaluated....considering Bbi sold their BF-109 & Hellcats (with m...

Nice pics! Is there any way you could take some of the rear compartments of each? Sorry it took so long! Re: Franklin Mint sale
Thanks for the input. I went ahead and bought the vehicles. I also added the USS Missouri model. The 1/24 Sherman was not available for the discount, so I passed on it. As a kid I recieved the pewter FM Civil War set and the FM pewter US Soldiers set with the display. I cringe to see how much they ...

Re: Franklin Mint sale
Franklin Mint is offering the M1A1 Abrams and the Humvee for 60% off. Would these be good deals? Or will the excess stock be sold off to Tuesday Morning and be available at a lower price? Awesome deal! Here's mine: http://i868.photobucket.com/albums/ab244/trex0770/Diecast/IMG_2129.jpg http://i868.p...

Spent 6+ hours carefully masking my Tomcat (I'm anal retentive) then agonizing over which method to use in getting rid of the spots. Ended up testing the Orange cleaner and Makeup blotting methods (with both enamel and acrylic Testors paints). I finally settled on the old rattle can using Testors 36...

The list of 222 sales are getting a little longer that is good. After the 222 I have to do a few commisssions. One will be the towing bar unit on the front of the Abrams. I will also be doing the APU ( aug. power unit ) for the Abrams as well. Then I will do the Panther G again anymore interest in ...

Welcome Brian! Decal sheets would be great. My picks for the "A" model (even though some were early A's with the ALQ-100 and no TCS) : 1) VF-111 Sundowners "Miss Molly" 2) VF-111 Low Viz 3) VF-1 "Wolfpack" 1974/75 Saigon Air Patrol 4) VF-41 "Black Aces" 1978 and/or 1981 "Fast Eagle 107" Gulf of Sidr...

Re: Gear
Greetings: I personally do not think the landing gear are that fragile if they are all connected properly. I realized once everything was locked into position and every tab inserted, etc, they work quite well. The problem is when you put the plane on the gear, you have to make sure the springs work...

Here's the enlarged image. There are no spots! It's soot & weathering......so stop making excuses for JSI. Besides, the photo is not the same bird ("A" model vs "B" model in image) and era (103 Sqdrn & lo-vis vs 84 Sqdrn & hi-viz). Plain and simple, JSI screwed up the paint scheme and made "fantasy"...

Latest from Badcat's blog: " ............ The main landing gear legs were actually modeled too accurately in my opinion . The plethora of gear doors along with many small parts make the mains very realistic but they're physically the aircraft's weak link. Extra care must be used to deploy the mains...

what about using enough acetone just to soften the paint of the spot so it could be blended in better to look more like weathering? I'm not concerned about having a heavily weathered, dirty looking Tomcat, but those spots just look like dots painted all over it, not weathering. So in otherwords, no...

Just picked up my AWH special from John (Aviator Nut) in S. Cal. He and his brother Justin are great guys to deal with for any of you looking for a vendor to buy from! Anyway, I tried using acetone on the underside (just a small hidden area) and it took out the spot but the gunk build up was not goo...
