Re: Opinions on value
The ones you got are nice, all worth $150 each NIB. The rest are not worth $150 each. They are nice but can be had for less.

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a Update with Pictures!
Jon, I believe there is much more interest in the REAL FIGHTERS. All my collecting friends here in Germany told me the same: "great to see but I would like to see the real planes not the paper fighters. So a NAtter, Kraftei, Volksjäger should bring more interest (I really hope  ) What do you ...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a Update with Pictures!
Those posts are hopeful for sure but the fact that I have only sold 3 kits makes me worried that this scale is on its last legs. Maybe its just this project? Its a small plane that I thought would not require allot. I thought it would be desirable for Luftwaffe collectors and serious aviation collec...

Re: 1/18 Lippish P.13a Update with Pictures!
Thanks! Im happy that the concept has been proven and I hope bmore will follow in my footsteps and make more 1/18 aircraft from 1/48.
I know that if this had been done 4-5 years ago there would have been much more intrest. Do you guys think 1/18 is dead? is Hydrospan too late?

1/18 Lippish P.13a Final Expansion **New Pictures**
Hey guys, here is the latest update on the 1/18 Lippish P.13 kit: Top Part: Done The top part reached full expansion and I got a final mold of it. It worked well and though it had a few surface imperfections the panel lines were intact and the imperfections were premiered and wet sanded away then th...

Re: Looking for 1/18 figure in shorts to be British WWII sol
You could use the savage figure from indiana jones for the legs and use a reg soldier for the shorts and boots, may need alittle sculpting. http://i164.photobucket.com/albums/u27/Order66Customs/DakKnickers.jpg http://www.warbird-photos.com/gpxd/viewtopic.php?t=11414&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=60

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
Jon i saw on the walmart website a product call composimold. It is a re-usable rtv. It is perfect for this sort of project. We all hate to use large quantities of expensive rtv for one time use and then the mold goes to waste, Also if something goes wrong the expensive rtv goes to waste, however co...

Re: Nooo...No more models ????
Im really not going to loose sleep over this. I think someone is just bored. FX studios have used models for years and still do without paying anything back to the source of the object. Look at the newest MadMax movie for instance. Do you think they paid GM anything for using models of the Cadillacs...

Re: Jnewboy Customs 2008-2015 1/18 projects
Hey thanks guys! It means a lot to me! 1/18 is a fun scale to work in, big enough to get in great little details but small enough to do large stuff without needing a warehouse. Jon, one of your german tank commanders wears a furred winter cap. How did you made or get it? Really nice customized model...

Jnewboy Customs 2008-2015 1/18 projects
I made a video like this a year ago or more ago of aircraft but I thought I would make one for all the AFV's and thin skinned stuff from over the years. Some are better than others and its fun to see how I have progressed. Thanks everyone that purchased one of these and those who have supported the ...

1/18 FW-190a
Ok guys, all kidding and Hitler spoofs aside, its been years... As far as Im concerned we have 3 options: 1. Wait for Merit. Upside is that the prototype looks nice and those that cant paint will get one. Downside is it may never happen and who knows what the price will be. 2. Copy the Skyworks kit....

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
I have to say Jnewboy, you did some impressive research to bring this together. I definitely think this works best with the smooth contours of aircraft, but I could see some armor coming out of it. Great job my friend!!! :salute: Thanks my friend, the problem with armor is that it is in 1/35 scale....

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
I'd love to have the Ta-152 conversion, I have a donor 190D I wanted to customize, but a Ta-152 would be sweet. How would the main landing gear work? I'm assuming it would be either permanently up or down? I will make them able to be up or down but not with a hinge joint like the 21st Cen 190D. It ...

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
Many cities have a art Co-op where you pay a 30.00 or so membership fee and you have access to 3D printers, ceramic ovens, CAD software and such. I've made a 1/18 Typhoon, Tempest, F4 II, Me-163 and others. I had a Harrier II before Merit. I also have made an assortment of different munitions. Ther...

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
Thank you, I appreciate all of you! Years ago, I had a dream that I was holding a 1/18 a Focke-Wulf Triebflügel. It was only a dream at that time as the only person I knew who had the skill to make such a thing was Mathew and his projects requiring so much time and money to complete had to stick wit...

Re: How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
Hey Mathew, yes the final thing is not done yet, it is soaking, the bigger the part the longer you wait, so far so good, I also have a set of floats for the Rufe and a Ta-152's wings and fuselage ready for RTV and pour the final expansion. When I have the final expansions floating for those projects...

How to create your own 1/18 model aircraft
As promised, here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1O95x6VgNw It took lots of research and development, $1,000 in materials and a lot of time invested in pioneering this process spanning over about 9 months. I hope that everyone uses it to make the things they have always wanted. I realize th...

Re: Now accepting orders for the 1/18 Lippish P-13a
I totally understand that most people will want to see the final product first before sending money. I'm not ready to take pictures of the final thing and this is so much different than other scratch builds that it would not accomplish much by showing pictures of molds in the lead up to the final th...

Now accepting orders for the 1/18 Lippish P-13a
Hi guys! As promised I am in the final stage of producing the Lippish P-13a in 1/18 scale! http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/LippischP13aMauveBoxArt.jpg Its alittle over 14" long and 12.5" wide (not including dolly) Right now I am saving up for the resin and finishing the dolly. The kit will cost $15...

Re: How big should 1/18 scale aircraft get?
Hard to say what I'd do... A B-17 is pushing the limits for me. Don't get me wrong, it's my favorite WWII aircraft and would look awesome in 1:18 scale, but really, I'd have nowhere to put it, either hanging or on ground display. Part of the reason why I'm not collecting those 1:6 scale-ish RC plan...
