Re: THE CHEAPEST DICAST MODELS AROUND!!!

Agree the prices are good, and shipping on more than one item might make it worth while. Need to do a bit more research on the prices, but has anyone acutally done business with this company?

Are they reliable?

Re: WHAT IS YOUR MAIN AREA OF INTEREST WITHIN THIS HOBBY?

I have been modeling since I was 5. I got away from it as a young adult, and wandered in and out over the years. I settled long ago on three scales, 1/144 aircraft; 1/72 German Armor; and 1/35 Scale American Armor. I still have some left over 1/48 (Bandai and Aurora), 1/6 and some 1/25 (left overs f...

Re: old USAF jets still flying

ground forces aren't fairing much better. Hummers, HEMMTs, Bradleys, Abrams, LAV, AAAV, M109, etc all predate the 80's. Even some of the new stuff, Stryker and M1117 are getting long in the tooth. The only real miricle of US prodcution is that our equipment was so much more advanced than the rest of...

Love this scale. Been collecting off and on for years. They do take up some room if you go for the bigger birds. Sadly they are getting to cost as much as larger scales.

Re: Merit 1/18 Huey

$100 bucks is an OK price point. I got mine for $90 at a trade show. They have been running around $200+ on e-bay but I noticed noone is bitting at that price now. guess they are waiting to see how things work out with the Merit version.

Now if someone would get a cobra back on the market.

Re: Army Museum--2016

The National Museum of the US Army has been a dream at Fort Belviour since at least 2007. When I was there in 2007 they I was shown the proposed site off of I-95. Then a few years later it was going to move to Meade, then in june 2011 it was back at Belvoir with an official opening date of June 17, ...

The MRAP's and MAT-V in my part of afghanistan were wearing the same rubber as the armored LMTV's. 365/85R20, I didn't write down the brand, but I think they were goodyears.

Tiger I going to Fort Benning

Ran across this after a discussion with a fellow modeller. didn't see it on the board. The Aberdeen Tiger I is going to Fort Benning to be a part of the Armor and Cavalry Museum. Wheatcroft says it was restored to 100% and operational, but due to an request to have it returned early, it was shipped ...

Re: 1957 Renwal HAWK Missile

Hawk has been out for a while. Picked one up last year. Revell has been putting out a lot of the classic Renwall Kits lately. 8" SPH; Hawk, Terra Cruiser, and Atomic Cannon are the ones I recall.

The life-like/Snap Hawk battery were nicer, buy 1/40 scale. Still hard to find.

I'm not sure how they schedule these events. I came across it by acciedent. I was at Warner Robins for a local event, and one of the vendors was talking about the Orlando show.

I think the next one near me is in Duncan, SC mid September. If I get more information on event and vendors I will post.

Re: Help with Panther Tanks??

Another possibilit is that by late war, unit identification would not have been desirable. The wehrmacht was thin on armor, so tanks would be moved between ad hoc organization. why waste time remarking vehicles. Secondly, without markings, it became difficult to ID units in a sector. Beyond the OPSE...
