4D Vision 1/32 Scale F-14

Is this a good deal on this model...?? I've been toying (no pun intended) with the idea of getting one.

Re: Hair raising 747 landing

I'd still like to know if this guy piloting the jumbo landed or had to go around...?? I've only been on one jet that had to execute an aborted landing, and I can tell you that the "pucker factor" rises sharply in the passenger cabin when moments from touchdown the guy suddenly bangs the throttles fo...

Century wings:
next release will be an F-14 Pukin DOGS paint scheme
Thanks for the info. Sure would be nice if CW would come out with something new, versus a 24th repaint of the F-14, even if it's a new scheme...

Hair raising 747 landing

Check out this incredible pic of a 747 jumbo preparing to land at the old Hong Kong "Kai Tak" airport which was known for it's demanding approaches. He can't be more than about 15-20 secs. from touchdown of the mains as the jet appears to be directly above, or very close to the runway threshold, and...

The Corgi jets are not quite as good as Hobby Master.....
Thanks Jack, I was sorta thinking the same thing, but I'm glad somebody with more experience on the Corgi line was able to comment on this.

I am partial since the A-6 was my bird and i worked on those engines for 4 years in and out of the old bird How cool is that.... 8) Awesome man. Look, in my opinion any bird that can sling an AIM-9 under it's wing and potentially shoot down an enemy aircraft is a fighter, no matter what it's primar...

Great looking bird you've got there. I've always liked the look of the HM "Joan of Arc" Mirage, maybe I'll have to get one. :)

Re: question--FOV 1/32 Jagdpanther-Belgium, M26 Pershing

I haven't seen the new M26 in person yet, but I have to offer the following. There was no "67th Armored Battalion" in the 3rd Armored Division. Well, again... I'm no expert, but the information listed for this tank at the Motorpool website says the following: Forces of Valor 2010 Military Vehicle I...

Re: Witty Wings SU-27

have to disagree with you about the panel lines. I find some of the panel lines like on the Century Wings A-7 to be to deep. Witty Wings did a great job here in my opinion. Perhaps you misunderstood what I was trying to say. It's the lack of panel "highlighting" on the Witty SU-27 not the depth of ...

Re: Witty Wings SU-27

Just got mine in from Aiken's yesterday, it's the "Blue 31" version. I have not removed it from the box, but I can tell it's an impressive model, not quite up to the standards of HM or CW in terms of panel highlighting, but I would say it's on par in most other respects. If you can, how about taking...

Re: September HM have finally arrived

I noticed the blunted F-4 nose since I got my Ritchie F-4 I've noticed that tendency on a fair number of types from different diecast makers, for example it's especially noticeable on the Corgi F-4. With regard to the HM EF-111 however, the pitot tube on the end of the nose looks a bit "fat", but o...

This Hong Kong based seller has had a pretty strong presence on ebay lately. I often see his listings, and he seems to have a pretty nice selection. His prices seem a little high though when you factor in the shipping, and considering the location, the shipping can sometimes take a while. If he's in...

I'm just getting started in 1/72 diecast, and I only have a half dozen or so planes in my collection, but my favorite aircraft thus far would have to be this Century Wings "Green Knights" A-6 Intruder.

nice but not accurate Scale wise...?? I admit I'm no expert on the subject, but in general it appears to be a reasonable rendition of the No. 2 Cat & Blast Deflector on a Nimitz (CVN-68) class carrier, at least in terms of the layout and markings, though it does look a bit cramped. Anyhow, it's kin...

Re: My first Century Wings model.

OK, One of the eBay sellers I have asked, offered me CW Vietnam A7D new+shipping for 100USD. Does the aviation really have to be so expensive? The SEA camo A-7 #CW-686250 is a tough one to find, I don't know of anybody from the usual suspects (ie. Aiken's, flying mule, etc.) that has it in stock. I...

Wish I could help, ostketten. I would also be interested in one of these by Airstrike. Verlinden do a very nice flight deck, but you have to paint some of it. http://cgi.ebay.ph/VERLINDEN-1-72-Carrier-Flight-Deck-w-Blast-Shield-SS-03-/350130498435 And I think HM did one of these flightdeck dioramas...

Re: question--FOV 1/32 Jagdpanther-Belgium, M26 Pershing

Does anyone know if what units, if any, does the FOV 1/32 M26 Pershing belong to? I'm no expert on this, but based on a quick look at the hull markings on the FOV 1/32 Pershing I'd say the M26 (the new release that is) would be from the 2nd Company of the 67th Armored Battalion, 3rd Armored Divisio...

Airstrike 1/72 Modern Carrier Deck dio...??
