How about considering some minor retooling to revitalise the products in conjunction with the repaints, as an “extreme example” that would require fairly minimal tooling you could alter the CL-13 to be a CAC CA-27 Sabre by making the 6 x 0.5 gun bays a separate piece that then could be swapped in an...

I've said it before….. the US prices for 1/18th has always been amazingly cheap compared to here in Oz, where the 21stCT aircraft at best used to retail between AU$125 to AU$150 (at the current exchange rate this is US$90 to US$110), however more recently the going price is AU$165 to AU$175 (US$118 ...

Well, not knowing exactly which class it is and being lazy enough to not size it to a known dimension (wingspan of a known aircraft type), and rounding to keep everything within magnitude, I'm going with: ~25 FT length of model ~750 ft length of WWII BB ~scale of model would be 1/30 Thanks, my best...

What scale is this??

I was touring the Monkey Depot (MD) site and went to the contact page, here there is a Google map link, and seeing that MD is located next to Falcon Field Airport I simply can not resist the opportunity to explore any airport. The Airport has some interesting aircraft, lots of Huey's and some Cobra'...

Re: KT

the KT paint scheme 21C planned to release should have had zimmermet to be accurate - we've been through this. Also, no 1/18 armor has ever been released at $100 MSRP, so to say it would have sold very well is just speculation tainted with personal preference for the piece... AU$100+ for 1/18 armou...

I was bidding on a cloth version also, but when I picked up the 3 hard-tops locally I kind'a let it the bid slide, sad thing is my high bid was US$21.00 and it went for US$21.50, but them's the breaks I guess. I only ever picked up one of the desert guys but if I see others now (especially the twin ...

What'd you use for the wood on the rear? I'm curious how you got the grain so nice if you just used plastic strips. G'day JJ I use the wooden planks that are meant for billing style scale boat builders, down here these are sold at hobby shops, the grain is very tight and well scaled, unlike balsa w...

IJ Cargo Custom

G'day all I put off buying a IJ cargo truck to the point where I almost getting one at all. Then I found three on clearance and snapped them all up. Straight out of the box the Mercedes Benze LG63 looks kind of neat, but I simply could not help myself and had to launch into a custom. Below are some ...

I'm still wondering why the grills are different on the BBI and 21st models. I thought they were all the same. I figure it was most probably a way for 21stCT to avoid having to pay a license fee to GM! I also think that the 21stCT grill is supposed to represent some kind of externally fitted filter...

Phil The Seeman 109 is a very nice scheme and the paint ops' on my example are excellent, even though as a rule I prefer more generic or anonymous paint schemes (almost nonexistent apart from some of the early releases) I really do like this one to the point that I would have liked to see the other ...

G’day Spikeman Looks to me the main issue with the wing strut mounting points is that BBI mounted them too far forward, in the pictures it is clearly centred on the pillar between the main cabin door and the crew chiefs window, however BBI chose to mount them centred on the outer edge of the pillar....
