Nice build. Very neat and clean. It is certainly an unusual plane, out of the norm in the modeling world. What scale is it?

Re: Model Power

I didn't know they were going out of business. They have a big line of model railroad items too. Their planes were always decent, quality models for the money. Too bad. They often reminded me of the old Bachmann Miniplane line I had as a kid. I guess some other company will pick up the ball and run ...

Parts is parts..Phantom F-4RF-4E

I just picked up the Hobby Master Phantom F-4 RF-4E in the Israeli AirForce scheme. It has some extra parts I wasn't sure about. I know where the missiles and drop tanks go, but there is a pod sort of thing in OD paint and another pod which takes the place of one of the missile racks. What would the...

Despite your less than desired outcome, I find that most UK based hobby dealers are top notch when it comes to customer service. I am glad they took care of your problem.

Soviet Fighter

I just picked up a Mig-21 in Russian/Soviet markings. It is interesting that there are so many Soviet designed aircraft diecast models out there, but not too many in Russian/Soviet markings. It took me a while to find this one as a reasonable price... http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk119/poleman...

Re: anyone purchased from anticsonline.com before?

Antics online.co.uk? if the place you are talking about is in England, shipping will be a bit pricey. I regularly make purchases from the UK and they often need to alter shipping costs due to the size or weight of the item. Perhaps the initial shipping cost was for "in the UK"?...

A few annoying questions lumped in one spot...

Hi again. I am on a brief collecting spree of Cold War era aircraft, mainly in 1/72. I have a couple different questions which I am lumping together here.... I have a number of Hobbymaster jets. I solved my loose parts problem with the help of the members here. One thing I was wondering was what the...

Russian-Soviet helicopter black outs?

I was looking at images of the MRC Easy Model Soviet/Russian Hind and Hip helicopters. Both have black areas, the Hind on the tail, and the Hip, up on the engine housing. They seem oddly out of place as if something was painted over. I didn't notice them in other images of various models from other ...

Tanks on flatcars

I am modeling a WW2 U.S. tank division in a "transport mode" in the U.S. during the war. I am using HO scale 40 and 50 foot flatcars. I am using photos from a book about US military railroading as a reference. So far I have 22 tanks on 11 flats. I will also be adding some support vehicles that moved...

Re: Tamiya 1:35 Panzer IIG

Nice tank! I built that model some 40 years ago when Tamiya offered it as a Afrika Korps version with the AK infantry in the same box. I still have it and it has been repainted a couple times. It has a bit of play damage from when I was a kid, but it still looks decent. What memories you brought bac...

Nice work. I love the mini dioramas too. Cool idea. Your vehicles look great and it really adds the finishing touch the factory paint jobs need. I am sort of a fan of dry brushing my vehicles with a slightly lighter tone of the base color(olive drab or panzer yellow...what ever the case) to bring ou...

Nice model work. I like the "Being captured" scenario you have portrayed. I have the Pegusus 1/48 version with the launch platform.
