Re: selling my Picklehaube 1/18 Horten 229 on Ebay
I don't know, that is a question best answered by Ebay Global Shipping, Canada Post or the Customs dept. I decided to sell it globally in hopes of widening the market as well as satisfying worldwide buyers. I won't bore everyone by going into detail about my bad experiences shipping to Canada or In...

Re: selling my Picklehaube 1/18 Horten 229 on Ebay
I purchase a lot from ebay US (I'm in Canada) but only see import charges once, and this is the 2nd time I see it. May I ask why there is import charges pay to the seller when the same item will be taxed again when the buyer receive it ?
thanks

$219 for this plane ? Are they dreaming in lala land ?
$150 is more reasonable and will attract more collectors. I'll pass as well.

plasticgeneral,
Yes Ottawa has both the war museum and aviation museum but I've only been in the war museum. They have decent military equipment on display there. However there are no Tiger or King Tiger tanks though....

Thanks for the comment guys.
tmanthegreat,
It brought back old memories, didn't it. Would you post some pics of your old model if you found it ?
plasticgeneral,
This guy would be huge in 1/32 and I would all go for it even in 1/48.

Thanks tmanthegreat.
Yes that's the Revell kit. This kit is excellent and I'm planning to work on another one with different paint scheme to display the plane in-flight. I think it would look better that way and may be a couple Mustangs chasing after it over US cities like the box art.

Re: 1:48 F5 freedom fighter
Very nice build, and looks great. A great aircraft, that although didn't make much of an impact in combat, was very influential for decades. BTW, HM does the F-5, and Falcon Models just announced the T-38. Thanks snake. Yeah I saw it too at the Flying mule site. The plane is the later version F5 Ti...

Re: Review: Corgi 1:32 DH Mosquito FB MkIV "Black Rufe"
Thanks for the excellent review and pictures. It's one of my favorite plane. I own several Corgi 1:72 planes but do not have any thing in 1:48 or 1:32 from them. The mosquito looks impressive in bigger scale.

cnq, Very nice choice of aircraft, the Horten 229 is my favorite. :D The paint scheme on the Day Fighter is fantastic! Very cool looking Night Fighter as well. It always amazes me how much detail these smaller scale kits have, You did an outstanding job on both of them. Thanks very much for your co...

Pegasus did the standard V-1 in 1/18, and it is a pretty decent, and interesting model.

Re: My second Horton 229 (1:48 Dragon Kit)
I'm trying to remember exactly... While that was only last year, it feels like a lifetime ago. I want to say in the range of $300 to $400 for the 1:18 Horten. I got the fully-built version as opposed to the kit and am very glad I did. As you can see in the pictures, Pickelhaube's sculpting and pain...

The Horton was made by board member pickelhaube, but they are not available any more. Like tman says there are less than 50 of these and all pretty much bought by members. Thanks. Im aware that it's made by pickelhaube for board members and not available anymore :( ; but just curious to know the co...

That's Awesome to have it in 1:18 scale. It must cost you a small fortune to have it done in that size. For me I'm only dreaming to have it in 1:32 scale.tmanthegreat wrote:Great job with that model!
