Re: FOV November Releases!!!
Wow! I'm loving the medical Kubel. Having just picked up the tan one a few weeks ago, the vehicle is a favorite among my collection. It has a nice weight, very nice detailing, good weathering, and the figs and accessories are just right. I will certainly be looking to buy the repaint (although some ...

Interestingly, I had gone to a few other stores in my town and nothing but the old mdse. Just got lucky with the one store. Perhaps more is on the way.

Re: PTE Recons
Looks like BL is gearing up for the holiday season once again. I found the two $13 bunker sets mentioned by others above (the three-section wall bunker) and the other small wall section with staircase and spotlight. They also had a number of the mutt jeeps with trailers, the two common vehicle sets,...

Re: My P51 Mustang
Thanks all for the nice comments. I really enjoy setting up and photographing military vehicles/aircraft like this. The P51 has a nice variety of colors which I think adds to the nice detail and results when picturing. I actually picked up a couple myself at the $9.99 price. Perhaps we'll see some m...

My P51 Mustang
Hi All: I recently purchased and finally opened the Algo / Ultimate Soldier Tuesday Morning P51 and took some shots. Let me first say that for those of you thinking about purchasing this airplane or comparing it to the Tuesday Morning Focke-Wulf, I find it more detailed. Let's take a look: http://fa...

Re: Ultimate Soldier US Infantry
Thanks for the nice comments all. I've added a few additional shots to the original post. I find it very enjoyable to take a few shots of each figure (or more) in different poses. I'm getting a little better at photographing without photo-editing the backgrounds.

Ultimate Soldier US Infantry
Thought I'd share a series of photo-edited images of my Ultimate Soldier US Infantry collection. The tabletop diorama also includes Marx items, particularly the accessories. http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7279/7714998364_7366776e3b.jpg Mortar Crew http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8427/7713939646_e7f060d...

BMC vs. CTS
Hi All: For any of you fans of 1/32 scale plastic toy soldiers, I was just wondering if you've had any experience in comparing BMC with Classic Toy Soldier (CTS) vehicles? Both companies produce a number of US and German tanks and I realize neither have the detail of FoV or Ultimate Soldier, but how...

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
I doubt my photos will be as good as yours though. Did you just want WW2 or was anyone interested in other types of military, such as Civil War or Western scenes, such as the US Army's 7th cavalry and Fort Apache? That's a nice compliment Soldier, but you'd be surprised what you can do with a littl...

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
Nice photos, Karl! Thanks S. Appreciate the feedback. Sounds like you've got an amazing Marx collection. I always found the vehicle scale awkward, but I wish I still had my tanks and other accessories. While small, they were very "playable" and while the Ultimate Soldier and Forces of Valor vehicle...

Re: REVIEW: FoV 1:32 M4A3 Sherman (80035)
Although an old topic, this is a nice review CM. It's always great to see these vehicles up-close. I think what really makes this Sherman stand out is the sandbags and the figs. All-in-all, it looks like a great vehicle. FoV really does a fine job with the little details and their figs (the netted h...

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
I see the ubiquitous family favorite Spirograph in that pile as well. Good eye - good eye. I still have the LEGO Brick Yard but the Crazy Buggy was a huge hit with many that year. Unfortunately, it quickly crapped out and could no longer climb the up-lift. Fort Navarone provided years of fun ...

Also have a bunch of Airfix stuff. I just picked up some Airfix figures over the weekend. I must say that they're pretty nice and I like the variety of sets and poses. I remember finally getting the "Guns of Navorne " Mountain with working elevator for Christmas and thinking that was the best Chris...

Re: Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
Cool..I still have my marx stuff from when I was a kid...love it. Aren't they great? my biggest pet peeve was Marx's vehicles were too small. Me too, but I wish I had held on to them. I pitched a whole bag of tanks and vehicles many years ago. I had left them in the garage over the years and many o...

Marx Battlefield Restoration Project - 1:32 Scale
I recently broke out a small collection of 1970s Marx figures to picture with some newer reissued Marx and CTS items. Doing so really brought back some fond memories of displaying and playing war with these figures. Here's a few shots pictured in various scenes: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8425/75...
