The truck looks good with the luggage rack removed. It makes it look more military. To me the luggage rack gave it the look of a civilian truck. Kinda like the ones you see pictures of in third world countries traversing some jungle or mountain trail overloaded with people, goats and chickens and wi...

The truck looks really cool but what kind of truck is it supposed to be? The motorcycle looks good from the side except for that gaping hole but from the front it looks very clunky. I wonder if it could be dressed up with parts from another 1/18 motorcycle (maybe the Maisto 1942 Harley) to make it l...

Re: HIDEOUS

...I remember a while back someone was posting pictures of a toy line that came as a set. One of which had a camel (with articulation) and also a scale horse (also articulated). I wish I could remember the name of the line but I am sure someone here has a link... The company that makes the horse yo...

BTW I don't want to seem to be contradicting something I said in another thread concerning political correctness and historical accuracy. When I say historical accuracy, I'm not talking about insignia. I'm talking about proper uniforms and equipment on some of their WW2 figures.

I kinda hate to see this thread devolve into an arguement on political correctness. I actually support 21C's decision to leave certain markings off of some of their products. I also understand why retailers wouldn't want certain things in their stores. These items are sold in toy departments and I'd...

I have to say FOV. The price is good and IMO they're headsculpts are the best available. They just need to work on historical accuracy a bit and scale up the size of some of their weapons. Hopefully they will tackle some of the things 21C seems reluctant to do like Brits, a BMW R75 w/ sidecar and ma...

I would say that leaving them mint without the swastikas would be preferable as far as resale value is concerned. However when selling them I would certainly mention that the decals are included. That way you cover the collectors that want items that are "MIB", you cover the crowd that might like th...

That brings back some odd memories. I had a German girlfriend when I was stationed in Germany and we had some very interesting discussions on just that topic ;)

Sorry about that - I always try to leave a few - but that WM back in the day was usually the first one in the area to get new stuff. I don't think anyone has come out and said anything concrete about WM and 21st - was probably more of a contract that expired? Nothing to be sorry about. I did manage...

well I know for one I grabbed the entire first round of OMG figures at the McDonough WM a few years back... The McDonough WM is the one closest to me. I'm in there every week and they almost never get anything new. I was in there a few days ago and all they had was a single US MB Driver that has be...

well we knew it was to happen - when the Platoon figures came out. They sold pretty quick the first round and the boom there are 40 of them and now they sit. same happend with every other series- they sell well at first and the reorder person or computer goes overboard - sounds like a new verse for...

It seems that whenever I go to the local WM's the XD pegs are either empty or have multiples of the same figures (Platoon) that just aren't selling. There's rarely anything 1/18 at the local Targets except the occasional Joe and a few of the US FOV guys and a Bradley or Sherman here and there. None ...

Maybe someone mixed up their reference material. Once upon a time the germans did use purple (lilac or mauve actually) in camo schemes but that was on WWI aircraft like the Albatros D.III. I think they may have used it on the A7V too but I don't think I've ever heard of it being used on a WWII tank.

Yeah, 6" is 1/12th scale. You have to consider the people that primarily patronise that site aren't there for 1/18 military figures. Comic and movie figures seem to be the main focus and with the exception of Star Wars and a few other movie figure lines those subjects are dominated by 6" figures. St...

That knockoff is a Mengshi and it's the real deal. http://www.sinodefence.com/army/transport/eq2050.asp Jeeze that's gonna make IFF a bit hard if we ever have to face these guys in combat! Thanks for the welcome guys. I did a bit more searching and there are other Chinese military vehicles listed. Like the previous one they are all very expensive. There's this Chinese Hummer knockoff with a mounted MG. Don't know if the Chinese army uses it though: http://cgi.ebay.com/1-18-2007-GM-HUM...

You're right. It is way more than I would spend but at least if people know it exists they might find one cheaper somewhere else. I wonder what kinds of obscure 1/18 goodies like this people will bring back from the Olympics in China this summer?

1/18 Chinese Light Attack Vehicle on eBay

I've been lurking for awhile but I haven't posted here before so I'd like to say hello. While searching eBay I found something that might interest some of the Modern Vehicle fans. It a 1/18 Chinese Light Attack Vehicle. For anyone that has played the Online game Battlefield 2 it should look instantl...
