Well, they didn't exactly say "no"...

For those of us wondering if we'll ever see new mass-produced 1/18 product (I guess that's all of us :) ), this non-committal reply to a brief Q&A back in May may offer a feeble spark of hope to the faithful... (From Merit's facebook site) Guy asks: Will there ever be any new 1/18 aircraft? Or is th...

I Hope You Dance...

For those of us in need of a fix of news from FOV (and who isn't?), their facebook and corporate sites have some updates on the coming Sturmtiger and Tiger releases, including a production schedule (probably originating from the planet called Yeah, Right)... They once again state their credo "...bec...

Whopper of a chopper

Take with a grain of salt, but the site below indicates other sellers (all of them also overseas) asking a higher price than that... I'll be pleasantly surprised if they're generally running below $60... https://www.diecastmates.com/kits/hobbyboss-81806-uh-1-huey-b--1296053# (see bottom of page, won...

Plastic Platoon's upcoming releases: Germans, Russians, and ...WHAT???

It seems interest here in plastic figures is waning, but even non-devotees should appreciate the newest future offerings from Plastic Platoon: exquisitely detailed Red and German Infantry, more German Paratroops, Soviet Naval Infantry, and, get this, Viet-Era armed "girlfriends" (I guess the sculpto...

FOV has announced some up and coming releases of 1/72 aircraft, including some curious paint schemes for their Mustangs... https://forcesofvalor.com/products.php?cid1=4&cid2=2&sid=4 Good to see them re-starting this scale... FOV reaches for the morning caffeine?

FOV's facebook page has some pix of it's showings at the Hong Kong Toy Fair, though mostly a tease----some not-close-ups of the new Shermans, German armor, and 1/72 aircraft and armor... more updates are promised soon, but we've heard that before... :) Also buried in the comments section are mention...

(Somewhat) New American Diorama figs

American Diorama has released four MP figures as a follow-up to their drivers and infantryman...I came across these quite a few weeks ago but I keep changing my mind whether I want them or not...the sculpting of the weapons is the weakest aspect...the Thompson gunner seems to be the best of the lot ...

1/32 21st century Marders...where did they come from...

...and where did they go? Anyone notice about a month ago a whole lot of vendors (almost exclusively from China) selling Marders with the Hildegard markings but often listed as brand names other than 21CT (like Magideal and MonkeyJack)? These were going at incredibly cheap prices (some under $14) an...

War Park---Metal Figures and Armor, New on the Scene?

http://warpark.com/ Just saw an e-bay listing for a pre-order of their Pz.Kpfw.IV I haven't heard of them before, they have some nice stuff that looks superior to K&C. The figures go for a reasonable amount, but the tanks are pretty steeply priced, I don't see myself building up a complete collectio...

A whole bunch of alleged BBI protoypes have suddenly turned up...go to ebay and search Elite Force 1 18 prototypes and over ten listings pop up, some reasonably priced, some not so much...how they arrived on the scene is one of Life's Little Mysteries... examples--- https://www.ebay.com/itm/BBI-ELIT...

Prototype 21st Century Toys 1:18 German...Legit?

I remember seeing this figure offered by various Chinese dealers over the years (with the right 21ct Toys flesh tones and colored uniforms etc.) but always doubted their authenticity---the head is too big for the body and it just seems a little off...this "prototype" looks even more dubious... or am...

1/18 FOV aircraft...should we get our hopes up...?

I'm hoping this is not a misunderstanding: buried in the comments section (about the 1/32 Flak Gun release) on the Forces of Valor FaceBook page is this cryptic exchange: (reader asks): no more 1/18 scale product ? FOV: There will be in the 2020 schedule, if I recall correct, there is a 1/18 aircraf...
