The alfa Beaufighter is also pretty close to 1/18 and is still available direct from the manufacturer: https://www.alfamodel.cz The J-power F9F Panther is also close, but a bit on the small side (around 1/19-1/20): http://www.bananahobby.com/3-ch-j-power-blue-mini-f9f-panther-rc-edf-jet-kit.html 50m...

Re: RC Plane Talk
There are a few more out there. The A-10 that has been referenced is a Flying Styro kit model, and they are out of business now. Here are the other 1/18 RCs that I know of that are within reason for cost: LX 70mm edf F-117: http://www.generalhobby.com/f117-nighthawk-70mm-with-retracts-version-p-814....

Re: RC Plane Talk
Awesome! I'm sure your flying skills will come back in no time, just like riding a bike. Also, if anyone is looking for a 1/18 C-47, hobbyking has a very good deal on a bare bones kit. It's going to need props, landing gear, detailing and a paint job, but it's a good start: https://hobbyking.com/en_...

Re: RC Plane Talk
Well, best of luck with whatever you decide to do with it. Just be aware if you decide to fly it, it's definitely not a beginner level model. I would put the P-40 in the intermediate category, maybe as a good 3rd airplane. If you have the experience, go for it! Otherwise, best keep it on the shelf a...

Re: We Got a B-25 in 1/18 Scale... Sort Of.
Would love to see your B-17s. Did you get your own nose art or did some come standard with the planes? Razor Here are some shots of the B-17 in flight. Several different decals options came with the airplane, but I made my own nose art to honor the crew of this particular airplane. I actually met t...

Re: We Got a B-25 in 1/18 Scale... Sort Of.
No problem, glad to help! Just a warning, I believe that this B-25 is being discontinued, so get it while you can! Several other vendors used to carry it, but they have all dropped it from their inventory except for banana. I've moved pretty heavily into the RC side of the hobby, but I love when it ...

Re: We Got a B-25 in 1/18 Scale... Sort Of.
You would be better off hunting down one of the old Flying Kit B-25s in the Rcgroups classifieds..the size and shape are really too far off for even syome extreme modding to save.. The Taft B-25 is also reasonably close, but rather pricey: http://www.bananahobby.com/6-ch-blitzrcworks-green-b-25-mitc...

Re: Lets see some of photos of your customs and conversions.
Very cool! Did you add an interior or something equivalent to the nose section and cockpit? From the online pics, they look closed off, but as the aircraft is made from foam, could easily see that being corrected... I looked this plane up and they are still available for anyone interested 8) No, bu...

There certainly is plenty of talent here! The Dragon Wagons and Armor customs are fantastic! And thank you for all of the kind words on my models. I have one more I forgot to share, it is a modification of the Hobbyking 1875mm B-17, almost perfectly in scale with 1/18. This one, unlike the B-25, sti...

Re: Considering a New Direction
Or you could come to the RC side.. . We have models now that are fairly affordable, and similarly detailed to 1/18 except that they actually fly! I have pretty much moved on from 1/18 to fund the RC fleet.

Re: RC Plane Talk
Thanks, the Mossie was a lot of work! I've been building up my RC collection over the last couple years. I found that for same price as 1/18 I cloud get detailed models that actually fly. 23 Aircraft so far and counting, just trying to bring them up to match with the detail of 1/18 models now.

Re: RC Plane Talk
Looks nice, but check out the Durafly Spitfire MK1. The scale look and foam finish are much better than the eflite. On a slightly closer scale to 1/18, I flew my FSK Mosquito 1/15, this weekend and got some great photos from our photographer. http://static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/3/4/5/3/7/6...
