It's always easier to do fiction or "based on actual events" for taking liberties in the drama and characters. The critics apparently thought he still didn't take enough. They said it was more like a docudrama. I don't think critics like true stories unless they are highly embellished.

Yes, but have you seen any of the finished builds out there? Even with its flaws it builds up into something that still says, 'B-24' and looks good to the average person. quite a bit cheaper than the 1/32 Lanc and B-17. If you're very familiar with the plane you will be disappointed in some areas, They completely fubar'ed the Davis airfoil, for instance. Nicely done. I remember doing the clear prop disks on the planes I had hanging from my room when just a kid. Your prop blurs have taken that to a new level. I also have my Dad to thank for all my aviation and WWII passion. Curious about the smoke from the Zero. What material is that?
