I haven't been looking hard lately as I am saving for our 3-week trip to NYC, but the only new item has been the White 7 FW-190. And the Hetzer/38T/Marder triumvirate, of course.

I admit to having returned car jacks after using them, and a friend used to return car battery rechargers.

That was back in our poor college student years.

It seems to me that when the last post that will fit on a page gets made, the forum creates the next page but there are no posts to put on it yet - thus the "no posts exist" message. Ordinarily the next page shouldn't be created until a new post is made, but something is going on here obviously. JMHO

I don't collect 1:18, but I'd go with the Lexington purely because I used to see her every time I crossed the Pensacola Bay Bridge back when she was still stationed at PNAS.

Maybe its just me, but if built that I would have removed the bases from the feet of the soldiers and directly attached them to the ground. Seeing the bases wrecks the illusion somewhat.

If someone did a study to determine the number of miniature military museums in civilian homes, I wonder what the result would be? Chairman, how close are you to having a representative of every make and model developed for the wars covered by your collection? Seriously, you can go insane with this,...

I just saw a captured P-51B in 1/72nd scale in Luftwaf Colors. There were many Allied Aircraft including B-17s that were used by the Germans to train their pilots. I would be intrested to see them in 1/32nd scale. I may also be intrested in seeing captured Axis aircraft in Allied colors. I'm afraid...

They're kind of small but I guess they could be oak leaves - they form a vee under the shield's bottom and they themselves look a bit like vees all lined up together in a chain.

Re: Cpl

Hi Cpl, East Hills is further east than our location. I would suggest reviewing the directions found on our Contact Us page to see where we are in relation to where you need to go. We're right off the Grand Central Parkway/ Northern State Parkway. Just call us ahead of time to firm up the meet and ...

I have one but I only bought it because Target had it marked down to $7.50. It's nice, but not as nice as my 21st P-51's. Especially when compared to the new tooling B/C's.

Re: Dauntless

You can have one at the pre-order price, providing you're willing to come out to northeastern Queens, where we're based. If you dont have a car, its quite a ways from Manhattan. I believe the Dauntless is still on track for a May release. We have a friend who lives out near East Hills. Are you furt...

Hey, Lightning - I will be in NYC the first three weeks of June. Other than the TRU in Times Square and one good hobby shop on the Upper East Side (Jan's Hobbies @ Lex & 93rd) what places are there (if any) to find 21st Century or other good 1/32 WWII military vehicles/aircraft? I lived there a whol...

Um, yes, I'm not of the group that can afford to pay that much for a model plane. My wife and two young children take precedence.

Now, $50 is a stretch but as it will be a belated birthday gift it can be justified.

So, is anyone considering the BBI SBD Dauntless?

Been looking at this thing over at BadCat but not having owned any BBI I'm not sure what to think. A Dauntless would be a great addition in 1/32 but are BBI up to the task based on past releases? I'd like to hear from the voice(s) of experience.

Are you using something to rename files in batches, or are you renaming them individually? If you need something to do a mass rename I would suggest http://www.irfanview.com/ . Since you mentioned doing them by plane type you can set it up to something like "F-4J001, F-4J002, etc." I use it all the ...

I'd have to say at this point that without taking time to research this further they can be considered dead. My advice for now would be to dump your pics in a temp folder on your desktop and rename them there before burning to disc. However, if you do this and your PC still won't recognize the disc ...

I'm assuming you are trying to change the names while within the process that burns the disc? Try opening up the disc by right-clicking the dvd drive and choosing "Explore". Open it so the files appear in the right-hand pane and attempt to change them here (either click twice in succession to get a ...

This seems to be something that happens to rw discs on occasion. Do you get any error messages when attempting to alter files on the disc or when you attempt to erase them? Another thing to try is updating the firmware for the drive - careful doing this as the firmware MUST match the drive you're up...

I voted no. I'm not really interested in another Mustang; I already have three and would rather spend money on something I don't yet have. Also, unlike a bunch of you guys, I'm not as interested in the pilots as much as the planes themselves, so whether or not its Old Crow, Bullfrog, Berlin Express ...
