Re: i have a quesion

It will work perfect for pictures. You can use them in background to make your army look bigger on pictures. I have seen stop motion movies that use different scales. Usually the big things like battleships, airplane bombers and sometimes vehicles are the ones most used in small scales. Also small scal...

Re: Home Depot sample paint

Pikelhaube post some tutorial about using that sample paint for people who wan to paint his mods and match them to the original vehicle color. When you bring a piece of the color you want, they will match it perfectly. It is diluted with water. The down side is that you have to give it about 4 coats ...

Re: 1/18th Panther F/ II Prototype Done ?? Pics 7-27!!

I am interested to buy two pairs of skits for my Panthers.I would prefer if you put plenty of tabs to hold to the tank,so i can cut the skirts in separate sections that way i can display the tank with a few missing skirt panels.

Re: WHERE IS JSI?

I don't collect airplanes and i agree about the paint of the tomcat looking not too good. But i don't think that was the reason for the company too shut down. Heng long make 1/16 tanks and the colors are so bright that some colors almost look neon.Still people buy the tanks and heng long keep making...

I wonder how it was transported to far palaces, when some times there are tunnels and other things like electrical post cable.I can see the German infantry cutting the electricity cable, but what about tunnels?

Re: 1/18 Custom made German Hummel SP Gun (500 $) Ebay

I was really considering making molds for it. But making a little mold for the Hitler head is one thing and making large molds for so many little parts from the gun was maybe to much for my skill. I did not make the Hummel or Jagdpanther, but i will try making something simple using a paper model as ...

Re: 1/16 vs 1/18 tanks

I had a few RC 1/16 tanks and they can also be used as static. But after a while,at least on my case, it gets boring specially after having to clean the tank to put it back on display (unless you like keeping the mud to make it look more realistic). They also take more shelf space. Another drawback ...

Re: Who Wants A M-3 Tarpaulin Cover ?

I had to order 3 WC52 because the first two arrive with broken parts. The third one arrive with a broken bar(the ones on the rear cargo),but the rest is good. This is more fragile than the panzer IV

Re: German 88

I bought this version. My guess is that this will be more limited than the Dak version. My only complaint is that the panzer gray color is really dark.Other than that it is worth getting specially if you have a lot of armor and support vehicles in panzer gray.

Re: Who Wants A M-3 Tarpaulin Cover ?

I will like a tarpautin for my (winter) M-3. The ring is not removable and so is the antenna. But if you can make it as the WC63 tarpautin. The WC63 from 21st century toys has the ring mounted machinegun. The tarpauting covers the rear passangers only. The tarpautin on the front goes around a post that...

I notice how the tanks are still available largely on ebay, but the price has increase. I don't know if the websites that had them still carry them.
The boxes on the tanks where really nice and better than 21st century toys and Motorworks.

It turns the Panther in to a cool looking bulldozer. The good thing about this is that some of the 21st century toys Panther has a removable barrel. Also another good is that is detachable,so the tank can still be display either way. Painting it should be easy too.I might be interested on one for my...

Re: Battleground Toys 1:18 German Infantry Scout Bicycle++

It will probably work good with the Indiana Jones motorcycle driver.
This bicycle because it is small and quiet, probably made a good reconnaissance vehicle. Also it is stealth because from far it looks like a regular pedestrian. Not to mention with the gas shortage it even made it more practical.

The Jagdpanther even has interiors.
I wish they would have made dioramas in 1/18 scale to put them behind my tanks display.

If it takes that long to build,it is better to take the extra effort to build it with styrene sheets instead of paper or cardboard.
