Re: The new harrier prototype. It is huge. Wow! Great detail

Looks to me like the Starship Enterprise. That would be neat in 1/18, but I didn't even know someone is making it........ anyway, the pic is the proof.. Can't wait? Is Wallyworld gonna sell it?

Re: Free--Kindle Ebook: ARMORED THUNDERBOLT (M4 Sherman)

With "Armored Thunderbolt" and Zaloga's companion book "Armored Attack, 1944", there is nothing about the Sherman Tank and all it's variations that is missed.

These two books are the jewels in my library.

Don't know how the hundreds of pics turn out on Kindle.

Re: What is the best 1/18 WWII US Jeep??

The same guy that is selling the "Welly" Jeep is also selling the WW2 G-4 with three figs, for $99. Good price.

Anybody have this Welly Jeep? Does it have an engine? Just bothers me that they leave off something as simple but important as hood latches.

Re: XD For Sale in NYC

Sorry, no more dump on SI. The biggest dump on the planet is covered and planted and after about another 10 years of settling, the dump will be a very nice park. It's nice right now. When the dump was open SI residents could dump big stuff and every trip to the dump meant I always brought home "good...

Re: What is the best 1/18 WWII US Jeep??

The Devil is in the details. I always liked the Gate, especially at the $5 price. I loved the steering and the detailed engine paint. Couple things I don't like about the Gate Jeep are the thick wood like steering wheel, the lack of hood lock down latches and the tread on the tires. WW2 Jeeps used m...

Re: XD For Sale in NYC

Thanks for thinking of me but I'm not really a plane guy and I have all the 1/18 vehicles except those from our custom guys. My main interest, as some of our members know, right now, are 1/6 prebuilt vehicles. I'm into both 1/18 and 1/6 and I would love to see Digger's collection before he sells it,...

I vote for "None of the Above".

Since I was a kid..... yes, long ago I was a kid, I loved the Bristol Fighter, known as the "Brisfit". Stood against the best and served the longest until the late 1920's.

Merit has always been in various scales. I have a couple of 1/6 and 1/16 Merit pieces. If I am not mistaken, Merit is a distributor, not a manufacturer and they will sell whatever they think will sell.

Nothing wrong with that. 8)

The idea of having a separate 1/6 section has been brought up before and rejected by the mods as unnecessary. Those of us that dabble in 1/6, even serious dabbling, also have interests in other scales and collections that include many scales. We contribute to this forum and being segregated to a sep...

Your skills are super and your step by step instructions are amazing. If I may just point out about the Marsden PSP, in Vietnam, we used PSP which were new or at least unused before when we got our hands on it. This was in the 60's. Besides the original use in WW2, of airfield repair, we used PSP, l...

Love your customs but I only have one question - The Panzerjager...... is your model the 2 man crew Panzerjager, or the initial one guy model? I believe the 2 man model only came out as a one-of prototype before the end of the war. The 1 man model saw action at the end of WW2 at the Austrian Tyrol w...

Ditto, and to the point. 21C low prices will be missed but the negatives will not be missed. How long did we wait for the Avenger? Two years? Constantly telling us "next quarter". The hype on the B-25 and the King Tiger in 1/18 hurt. Us guys into both 1/18 and 1/6 were anxious about a PZ III to do "...

The hand cart cost was $125 + a few bucks shipping. Was arrived all set to display. Mrs. TTT even got involved by digging up...

My latest purchase was a M3A4 Infantry Hand Cart that was created by a 3D printer in 1/6 and the cart is suburb. Detail is excellent, even the tiny ID plate on the side is as much detail as anyone would want. http://www.sixtharmygroup.com/forums/general-quarters/19165-wip-m3a4-utility-hand-cart.html...

I have a "mechanics set" from GMP called "1/18 Garage Accessories Kit" which includes a welder and a arc welder and much more.

OK, it is modern but how much have welders changed since WW2? Nicely detailed metal set.

I don't remember what I paid for it, but I got it on eBay.
