Re: For Sale: 1/6 Vehicles - The stuff of dreams

GermanBilly is a legend among 1/6ers. I can see his collection stored in his garage, not displayed. Just a few of the big pieces, like a Jadg, Tiger, Panther, other tanks and the Sdkfz 7 with an 88mm in tow and my single car garage is overflowed with Gerry armor..

Just received my Huey from TheFlyingMule. A super model. Have to do a major reorganization of my mancave before it goes on display (mostly because of new purchases) but this beauty will have a place of honor.

Re: Who wants a " Natter " ?

I'd vote for a closed nose to save agrivation on PH's part. I'd vote for a closed canopy because how would you do a instrument panel and seat in an open canopy..... another way to keep PH up at night. Another point... if the vehicle is displayed on a cradle or a launching tower, the nose con...

For Sale: 1/6 Vehicles - The stuff of dreams

A well known 1/6er named GermanBilly is emptying his garage full of vehicles, from small to huge size, almost like museum pieces......not cheap but some very rarely seen and some scratch built. Included are three 1/6 aircraft - Stuka D F1 Storsch Bf-109 The list can be seen on SAG site. No prices ar...

Re: Who wants a " Natter " ?

Pickel:

I originally said NO on the survey but after seeing Jnew...'s pix, put me down for 1.

What color would I make the finished kit? Looks like a light green with white cammo?

Would you include some sort of cradle? Not the tower just something to sit on?

Re: Where's The Red Devil?!?!

Mrs. TTT went to the same school of wifeerry as Mrs. Pickel. Mine always has said that what my kids don't want, goes in a yard sale and then, they go by the curb. None of my kids have the room for my big stuff, or the desire to collect, so they will take one or two of 1/18, and sell what is MIB. I f...

I agree but I haven't seen this model before. Are those chrome pieces new engines we haven't seen before? or are they really big cannons under the wing? :P

Re: Merit at 2013 New York Toy Fair

For CplSlade: Toy Fair was not just a show for new products, it was to highlight their line of products. Toy Fair is not for us (individual collectors/toy fanatics), TF was always a trade show to entice buyers from stores/etailer outlets. The last TF I attended 21C had a couple of 1/6 Stuarts runnin...

Re: New 1/6 Sherman 105

Level of detail in these DML tanks is SUPER. I can't recall any negative feedback on detail these tanks from Dragon. Great models... OK, it's large. We all know the size of the 21C Stuart in 1/6. This Sherman is like the 21C Stuart's big brother. Not as big as the 1/6 Tigers, or King Tigers (non DML...

More stuff to consider......... another project for my shelf, just what I need. Should I pratcice my painting skills on a monster tank? Should I buy this Sherman at all? Latest price info seems to tell us why it is relatively cheap..... It comes unpainted. Rats..... foiled again.

Mrs. TTT does all my detail painting, she will freak if I were to try to have her paint this Sherman.

Try loading the u-tube video with a name like "Mathew's Customs"... something that does not get the PC legal crowd in a hissy fit...... if that is the problem.

Re: New 1/6 Sherman 105

Bad Cat's price is more like it. As to the number of pieces in a 1/6 Sherman, I would bet that there would not be much more pieces than the M4A4 Sherman, which they called "assembled" but had so many parts it was serious work. Advantage to having kit would be having no glue welds to break on all the...

New 1/6 Sherman 105

I know you are out there...... you guys interested in more than 1/18. DML is bringing out a 1/6 Sherman 105 in March 2013. Advertised as a kit so that should cause alot of interest. No word on price yet. http://www.dragonmodelsusa.com/dmlusa/prodd.asp?pid=DRA75046 Since the first 1/6 Sherman came ou...

Re: More 1:18 21C Prototypes are turning up on eBay

I bought a proto 1/6 Scout Car last year. It was to be a General Patton Scout Car. Nothing really special, they just added air horns and numbering as Patton's Scout Car. I was all set to customize and add Patton's armored roof and guns, radios and seats when I was advised to leave it as bought.... s...

Am I correct that your backer wants the A-10 even if it is a "one of" made by you?

How big would this mother be?

I love the A-10 but for around $500, I'd love a 2 engine WW2 plane better (B-25, B-26, Me-110 etc).

My 2 cents.

I agree with Zelda and Grunt. This "modeler" has done some not bad models. I would just not pay anywhere near he is asking for these models. Scale is off and he is using what he has for lower hulls even if they are wrong. I can look at : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=16095418521...

Pickel: Your 222 is just out of range on my mixed scale shelf. The 222 is right between the 2 General Pattons and the 1/10 Jeep. I guess I'll move it over next to your Tank Destroyer and create a special Pickel section. 8) http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh590/Threetoughtrucks/Toy%20Collection/T...

Re: Is it time for another collection thread?

Jnew.: Right, the Wirbelwind is still not painted. It has a low priority on my "to do" list. Ahead of it is some 1/6 stuff I've tryed to find time for, and always new stuff. What counts for me is I have it and will get too it sometime. That pesky real life stuff keeps getting in the way. Just lost 2...
