I like the idea of optional folded wings and gear down. As long as the models look accurate, I don't mind these cost cutting measures.

I recycle religiously. Too bad I can't send my plastic directly to Admiral Toys. I would do that if I could.

I'm pretty close to having every paint scheme as well. Just missing a few of the more recent Thunderbolts and Mustangs that seem to be tough to get now.

Yes, I would like one very very much, thank you.

It was "Flight of the Intruder" that really made me like this one, as well as the Skyraider.

Yes, a Lee or Grant in 1:18. Then make a 1:18 Humphrey Bogart figure to go with it. :)

I saw these in TRU last year and was planning on buying one but hesitated. Especially now I would like one for my 25th Gi Joes. It's a much better plane than the undersized toy Rattler that recently came out. I'll bet someone could make a really nice custom Rattler with this. Now they are almost imp...

I'm pretty much the same way. It's a lot easier to walk up to a register with military toys than say Star Wars. I explain when asked that these toys are much too fragile for little kids to play with and are made for adults. If they want a little history lesson with the Spitfire I'm buying, I'm very ...

When my 6 mo. is up I'm looking for a few of the 1:32 P-47 Thunderbolts and later sculpt P-51D Mustangs. (Not he recent sharkmouth D or P-51 B's and C's)

Well you could've bought a case or two of beer instead for that money you wasted on the tank, and not have anything to show for it but a hangover in the morning.

Out of the 11 Walmarts in and around Albuquerque, only one had the 2 pks. I picked up 2 of each of the D-Day ones at regular price of $8. I found the DAK's at the same Walmart for $2 on clearance. The D-Day ones never made it to clearance, because they were on the one Walmart's pegs for only a short...

I bought one on clearance for $20. I had been meaning to get the Blackhawk, but waited too long.
The regular price was $29 in my area. That's $10 cheaper than the 21st Century planes.
These helecopters were on the Target shelves just last year and now they are super hot items.

Don't get sucked into the "limited release exclusive paint schem" schtick. Trust me, if 21C, FOV and BBI could sell runs of 100K they would definitely produce them. I can't remember any given scheme quickly selling out either in the stores or online. That PH Zero was on clearance for some time and ...

I think it's good advice. A few toy companies do this whether it be Hot Wheels, Greenlight, GI Joe, Hasbro, Sideshow Toys. Some are limited to hobby shops, have a limited online only ordering window, or exclusives to the major retailers. It usually creates a buzz and collector fever kicks in especia...

I was reading the WIKI on the Sturmovic. Lots of interesting stuff. I guess there are still a few around for reference. Anyways I thought the story about penal rear gunners was interesting: Il-2 Rear gunners: a deliberate sacrifice? Il-2M cockpit. Museum of Aviation in Belgrade, Serbia In his book I...

The Mig looks cool, is a beautiful plane but it doesn't have as much historical significance as the flying tank Stormovic, which I voted for.

BTW: I love these polls. You need to do more of them.

Well, I'm pretty close to saying I'm not a fan of the folding wings. I don't have my first Hellcat so I can't make a 100% assessment. But after reading your post. This seems to be a problem with all folding wings for everyone. I had heard that the 21'st Avenger has a serious problem with drooping wi...

I know that the Zero is definitely worth buying. I've got the original Green one, the Pearl Harbor version, soon to have the Konouke Zero, and hopefully the Solomons Zero. My first Hellcat is on it's way, so I can't really say, but BBI does really nice work so I don't expect it to be a dissapointmen...

We've already seen the improved upon prototype. I have no reason to believe the SBD-3 Dauntless won't get made. I mean it's a 1:18 Dauntless for crissakes! In it's most famous colors. Seems like an awful waste of a lot of time and effort not to release it. I was thinking to really make this sell bet...

Yeah, this is a nice one. The red outline on the insignia looks cool. I would have no problem buying this one as well. I had heard that the early 1941-1942 Navy planes with the red dot in the middle of the star was painted over because of possible confusion with the enemy's red meatball. I wonder wh...

I was looking up some info on Bud Anderson's "Old Crow" P-51C (one we definitely need in 1:32) turns out that when he got a P-51D his old C was given to someone else who put "Berlin Express" on it, but it was the very same plane.
As Johnny would say: "I did not know that!"
